*** Canadian Oi! without any Political Alliance ***

NO ALLIANCE - JUST GETTING STARTED..." ("Dim Records"; CD):

Also this band "Dim Records" succesfuly 'caught' up and over there in Canada, and also some members (at least one) of BOOTPRINT also stand or stood his ground in NO ALLIANCE. But NO ALLIANCE played or play- after I'm not so sure if they are still existing as a band I decided to go on writing from this point on in the present tense- a pretty different style compared to BOOTPRINT. No, don't get me wrong, also NO ALLIANCE play Skinhead Oi!, also very hard and without any compromise, but where BOOTPRINT do play in total more in massive stomping mid pace, there NO ALLIANCE do play their music much faster and also pretty much influenced by Old School Hardcore and good old U.K. '82 Hardcore-Punk musick. Mix up some british classics like THE 4 SKINS as well as THE EXPLOITED with some good old Canadian Oi! like the SUBWAY THUGS and the LAGER LADS, and cultivate it with a huge load of old school Hardcore like WARZONE, (early) AGNOSTIC FRONT, and SLAPSHOT. The energy level is extreme high, that's really amazing, you get non stopp blasted and hammered up against the wall and this all without becoming boring or what-so-ever, that's really a great job that they've done, more or less non stopp full throttle fast pace speed, tons of aggression, violence and harsh brutality, and the guys really can play their instruments fuckin' good and they know how to write blasting and grapping songs. And yes, also NO ALLIANCE do play a pretty old school sound, like BOOTPRINT, and also without being or becoming some fucking retro band in any way. Great!!! The songs are driven forward by hard, mercyless and fast edged guitar playing, thundering drums, and forceful bass playing, marked by loud crew shouts and an angry and aggressive, very pissed off lead singing voice. Fuckin' awesome stuff, this musical uppercut will make you go down and leaving you bloodied but happy lying on the ground, down and out but satisfied and happy out there on the cold concrete. Sometimes they could just work with more songs like the brilliant "VIRTUAL WARRIOR", because this crushing and organic groovin' mid paced song is just a bomb!!! Great!!! What sucks is that we don't get any printed lyrics to the songs. A lot you can get by listening to it, but sometimes the vocals are just too fast so that I really would have loved to control my understanding of the lyrics by reading through them. That's really a pity, not at least 'cause it's interesting that it seems to me that NO ALLIANCE aren't a patriotic band anyhow, because lyrics like "The soldier, the killer!" (by the way, that's stupid bullshit) tend to go in a total different direction. But we will maybe never know... All in all for what I can say we get a big bunch of truly good lyrics, dealing with fuck off's to internet warriors, fuck off's to each and any political directions, tributes to the Skinhead Way of Life and homages to alcohol and drinking, against false former friends, and much more. Then there's a cool artwork, and the hard, raw and organic production sound really rocks. I hope that they are still existing as a band and that they arn't a defunct in any way, 'cause they are really awesome and I would love to get more of them listen to!!! Hm, maybe they would be also pretty interesting for doing an interview with them (especially because I've never read anything of or about them in zines or on blogs, what really is a shame). You need to have it, again damn great Oi!, Skinheads, Bootboys, Hooligans, Oi! fans go and get it, and, damn it, also you the Punks and you the Old Tyme Hardcore kids should really give NO ALLIANCE a fair try and a good round!!! Great band, great record!!! Hm, it was announced to be released also on vinyl, but I don't know if this really came to happen. Cheers & Oi! (9 of 10 points)

And now I have also a video of them for you to enjoy it, it's of their great and violent stomper "VIRTUAL WARRIOR" (ha, this whole "Oire Szene" faggots should really take a good listen to this great anthem). It's not that much of a 'real video', it's just the cover picture of the record shown while the song is hammering into your ears, but how-ever, so you have more time to concentrate yourself on the fantastic song!!! It's my total favorite of NO ALLIANCE, so I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do enjoy it!!! Oi!
