BOOTPRINT - "A PART OF US..." ("Dim Records"; CD):

This was one of the many great releases that "Dim Records" had put out over the last year. I've reviewed already their current "NOTRE FORCE" release and after my maybe-problems with this band turned out to be no problems at all (if you read more or less regulary this very blog you might know what I mean), and so I thought that it could also be good to review their former full length release, 'cause it's still pretty relevant at all. Also it's now-a-days out to get as an LP version via "Dim Records", but don't ask me about any limitations, colors, etc. 'cause I just don't have a single clou about it. After "Dim Records" released a lot of (great) American Oi! and Streetpunk bands the last year they decided to stay on the (northern) american continent and crossed the border over to Canada where they found and got the mighty BOOTPRINT. BOOTPRINT are playing a really rough and tough, hard and cracking Oi! or Skinhead Rock that's standing in the unbroken and unbeaten Brickwall Oi! tradition founded by CONDEMNED 84 and the likes of them, but also knowing of THE 4 SKINS and THE LAST RESORT, as well as of a big bunch of harsh French Oi!, all pretty much old school but totally without being retro or anything annoying like this, nah, fresh and agile music we get from BOOTPRINT. And all very unique and stand-alone done and also very, very damn good, and yeahr, this guys know how to play their instruments as well as they know how to write damn good and grapping songs. Especially the very present and the songs marking lead guitar is just fantastic and really something like an 'unique item' of the BOOTPRINT music. And the brutal but never blunt lead singing voice is also just great stuff!!! The forceful and smashing rhythmsection is also just great and is leaving no blank space in the songs, and so they are really a that damn good band that you need to know them!!!Stomping and pounding, angry and violent mid paced brickwall Oi! sound, brutal and hard, yet damn melodic and really sing-a-long compatible as fuck. Great stuff!!! Sometimes they just could vary the pace of the songs a little bit more. On top of it we do also get a bunch of good lyrics, patriotic, conservative, anti-Communist and 'anti-Anarchist', 'anti-liberally', against drug addicted scum and media lies, songs about Gang Violence and also good Skinhead Way of Life lyrics we do get as well. Good stuff, very outspoken and that's all fine with me, even I don't agree on everything, but hey, who said that I have to do this. (Or anyone else have to do this!!!) Then the artwork looks just great, and the production sund is pretty good, raw and edged, but it could be at least a little bit louder at all. Then we do also get two cover songs, "GANG WARFARE" of CONDEMNED 84 and "INDÈSIRABLE" of BRUTAL COMBAT. And yes, the cover songs are also done pretty good, just trust me. This is really a very damn good record, so if you still don't have it then get it now!!! Oi! (9 of 10 points)

Now you get a video clip of BOOTPRINT, it's a video clip of "A PART OF US..." the title track of the currently reviewed record of them, and damn it, it's my favorite here on this one of them (just listen to the breath-taking lead guitar, awesome), so just enjoy this mighty larger than life anthem!!!
