Okay, already quite a while ago since I've read ''my'' last issue of the "PUNKROCK!" fanzine and quite a lot used to change since then, and so today it's sold at the commercial magazine selling stores at stations and where ever else. They really did it and made this step. Okay, beside this and the fact that now with this today the zine comes completly colored they pretty much stayed true to what they used to do before. A mix out of music, subcultural scene lifestyle and leftwinged strongly PC and AFA politics and that typical "We are the good, we are in the right and if you're not on our side you're a fucking fascist right wing bastard and btw it's us and solely us who know about truth and good and if you are not with us you are against us!!!" attitude, offered with a lot of reviews on albums, fanzines, books, concerts, etc. pp. as a cultivation of it all. This mentioned attitude and this bullshit PC and AFA approach is ticking me also today pretty much off, but anyhow, still better than the counterparted side and the rest of the content of the zine is pretty strong and interesting, and that's what matters most in the end. The zine starts with some introducing editorial words and some good vayring columns, offers all in all more or less good to vey good interviews with acts like EMPOWERMENT (good antisocial Hardcore from Germany), SLIME (why... who needs this still today... and why are they featured in nearly every zine these days... again, who needs this... WTF is going on?!?), TOXOPLASMA (yeahr, great, okay, maybe not that good like the interview in the current "PLASTIC BOMB FANZINE" issue but still really good stuff and for sure a damn great and also legendary band), the drastically and in every way and sense overrated ANTI-FLAG (bah...), the PESTPOCKEN (bullshit band, this interview proofs this also pretty much... but maybe also just not my cup of tea... who knows... I mean...), the "HARDCORE HELP FOUNDATION" (amazing and just great), BENT CROSS (good dirty noisy rocking Punk and a great interview), the legendary communist Hardcore-Punks of MAN LIFTING BANNER (great interview), the boring THE DETECTORS (pfff...), the COBRA SKULLS (bullshit band, bullshit attitude, bullshit mentality, bullshit interview/introduction, bullshit leftwing fascism, period), BLANK WHEN ZERO (interesting stuff, band as well as the interview), ARTFICIAL EYES (crappy AFA Skinhead band from Germany, expressing opinions that had also twenty to thrity years ago been overaged and get cheered up highly for this... what a stupid dumb bullshit band, forget about them, point and fact), the "WAS BIN ICH?" (/"WHAT AM I") special interview, and also an interview with the PC Hardcore Punks of INFILTRATION (all in all a pretty sympathic and interesting band and interview, and cool that local D.I.Y. bands are featured here in this very zine). So you see, that's already a lot stuff to read through. Then the mentioned reviews make it all even more round, and a lot of columns and political as well as historical and other kind of articles close this issue and make it to a truly and really very well done affair that I can only highly recommend to you in every way here and now. Hopefully the financial risk that the "PUNKROCK!" guys are taking here pays off in the end because they've done their homeworks and settled a from start to finish really good and interesting issue together and so it's all more than ''just'' justified. Well done guys, very well done, thumbs up!!! Buy it, support them!!!

Here it is the current and newest issue of the german "PUNKROCK!" printfanzine. As usual it is a really very good fanzine (to when it comes to how it's done), with a lot of very interesting content that fills the beautiful black/white pages of this nice little but blulky zine. Good writing, good tonguing, often good and interesting done interviews, regional bulletins, very grapping and sometimes even truly fantastic columns, very detailed and informative reviews of records, fanzines, concerts, and books, good done (hi-)stories, a big bunch of fresh news. All what you might expect from a printfanzine of your choice to catch, get and hold your inerest. No doubt about it. No problems with it. But what still totally sucks is this stupid "With us or against us!" attitude, this whole thinking that the guys of the "PUNKROCK!" fanzine and their interviewed buddies do own the only key to the right wisdom, and this whole defaming of and this whole hustle against, this ridiculous witchhunt on everybody and anyone that isn't with the "PUNKROCK!" crew and their buddies on the same agenda, this whole crap is really so damn annoying that I can't find the words to describe it. First example: They give us a summary of an conversation with Sebi of STOMPER 98 (keep in mind, a summary, not an interview, a printed form of this conversation, no, just a summary, so you just get everything from out of the perspective of the writing guy... no comment, this is nearly yellow press standard...) and then a short interview with Phil of THE TEMPLARS as well as STOMPER 98. Phil is given very good and also very well prudent and very well thought out answers, proving them wrong when it comes to defaming him, THE TEMPLARS and STOMPER 98 as anyhow right wing, radical or even extremist, at all (keep in mind that here in Germany THE TEMPLARS get defamed as being NS, fascists, racists, etc. by the AFA faggot jackasses). And what's the outcome? Still STOMPER 98 and THE TEMPLARS, Sebi and Phil aren't not one of the 'good guys', still they are 'shady persons' at the end of this three little pages, only because they not jump on the AFA train, only because they not fit into the "PUNKROCK!" fanzine and friends site of this whole "With us or against us!" attitude bullshit thing. This is goddamn stupid and ridiculous arrogant and intolerant, but hey, let them still preach about tolerance, respect, and acceptance for people that are other than you and your people are... What a farce this all is, I don't have to point that out to you, right!!!???!!! Second example: Then they do an interview with the german blog "Oire Szene", the guys that are completly anonymous running this blog had given themselves the factory order to reveal any kind of infiltration of the Oi!, Streetpunk, Punkrock, Hardcore, and Psychobilly scene by the radical and extreme political right. What maybe sounds like a good idea is nothing but a defaming, ridiculous, through and through politically correct "With us or against us!" fascistic bullshit mentality, declaring everyone that's not on their agenda to be at least racist, sexist, if not White Power and NS. This all got not questioned by the "PUNKROCK!" guys, no, they just are at least a little bit distracted by some too annoying aspects of how the "Oire Szene" does work, but the founding principles and the self-declared "anti-fascist" attitude (*lol*) of this anonymous rushing cowards are rated more than just good and justified. It's a so damn incredible farce, and that's also counting for the conspiracy theory thinking of this "Oire Szene" jackasses (behind every corner the evil Nazis are waiting to infiltrate every scene and every (sub-) system... oh, come on...), and yes, again I simply don't find the fitting words to describe it. Third example: The "PUNKROCK!" guys as well as the "Oire Szene" blog are creating, building up the some bogeymen, like defaming for example labels like "KB Records", "Bandworm Records", "United Kids Records", and "Randale Records" as being right wing, radical if not extreme, being part of this whole conspiracy thing, and a band like the KRAWALLBRÜDER are from the standpoint of this guys something like the most evil NS Boneheads out there you just can meet. Again I simply can't find the right words to describe how stupid and ridiculous this all is. And yes, it just sucks!!! Guys, go out and search the places where the true Neo-Nazis use to hang around, take action, but stop this incredible fucked up crap!!! Okay, is there anything left to say?!? You also get interviews with bands like RIOT BRIGADE (PC Anarcho Punk, and this guys seem also to call the key to ultimate wisdom their own... strange world, when the self proclaimed open minded and tolerant and intelligent behave like arrogant and stupid elitists...), STRIKE ANYWHERE (crap band, good interview), ABFUKK (loud and dirty Hardcore Punk, and very good interview, but where's the third K gone, haha;-)...), a very good done so called 'Acoustic Punk Special' (still wondering what new genre names will also come up in the future...), good interviews with JOHNNY WOLGA and the LOCATORS, a annoying and unintersting story of LAIBACH, and a pure and 100% promotion interview with the new german Punk label "AGGRESSIVE PUNK PRODUKTIONEN" from Germany. What you also still find I've written all above, so just read there. Okay, that's all, like I've said a good fanzine, when it comes to the level on where it's done, but it's getting more and more nothing but a farce because of the mentioned reasons, this whole fucked up "With us or against us!" attitude or mentality crap!!! Decide for yourself if you think you have to call it your own or not... As usual, black/white pages with nice grey contrasts and pictures in very good quality, all wrapped by colored front- and backcover. Ah, and it was really very nice to see 'Tank Girl' finally again!!!

Punkrock! goes H.1.N.1.

"PUNKROCK!" Issue No. # 11 (spring 2010, including a free CD)

Here it comes, the review of the current issue of the "PUNKROCK!" print fanzine. It's coming with a great cover artwork, all in all a little bit under the influence of the H.1.N.1. pig influenza, you know, one of the hottest topics of the second half of the last past year. Ah, and we do also get a free CD sampler, it's the current "CONCRETE JUNGLE records" label sampler, but, hm, okay, it's free and so, but it's absolutely not my barrel of whiskey or however you like to call it, but however, I guess so I have the next birthday present for a buddy of mine already in store, haha;-). So, now, what do we get to read here: A lot of interesting stuff, that I can tell ya. We do get really that much content, so that I will just name you my favorites: The tour diary of the Australia tour of the SPERMBIRDS is just great, the interviews with CHUCK RAGAN, EISENPIMMEL, HELLRATZ, NIGHT FEVER, NEIN NEIN NEIN, and the KAPUT KRAUTS are really damn great, and the interview with FRANK ZANDER is truly just brilliant. Beside that we do get much more, like very good reviews of records, books and fanzines, and also a big bunch of well done columns and a good final part of the "SKINHEAD - SPIRIT OF '69" history-story. All good and fine, but I'm really fed up with that whole with us or against us attitude bullshit, the ridiculous and defaming witch-hunt on all and everyone who's not sharing the views of the guys of the "PUNKROCK!" zine, no matter if it are bands, private persons or fanzines, everyone who's not totally on the same page with the "PUNKROCK!" zine writers finds himself to be defamed as a Nazi friend, etc. pp., and that really sucks!!! I can't tell ya how much it is annoying me!!! Guys, get a real life and stop to think you own the stone of wisdom!!! Even you are not that totally wrong with a lot of your criticism, but you are also not that right, so stop that bullshit, 'cause it damn sucks!!! Beside that: Surely still a fuckin' good zine, all witten in german and in good tonguing, coming with a coloured cover and with a black / white layout when it comes to the content of the zine, all done very good and very professional. If you like Punkrock, Hardcore, Streetpunk, etc., then give it a try.

Congratulations and 'Happy Birthday!' to the guys of the 'PUNKROCK!' Fanzine!!! 10 issues on, guys!!!

"PUNKROCK!" Issue No. # 10 (Winter 2009/2010); 3,00 Euro

That's a truly nice one!!! The "PUNKROCK!" fanzine is one my favorite fanzines around. It's a damn good print zine, done on a very proffessional level, but still fuckin' D.I.Y. enough through and through, so that you can still call it Underground for some good reasons. A lot of guys stir things up these days, complaining that the "PUNKROCK!" would be too much anti-fascist, too much political correct, and things like this. Okay, sometimes it's all a little bit weird and paranoid: If you don't fit in the picture these guys are drawing of the world, of their political agenda, and of their "scene", then you find yourself quick being judged as a (radical) right wing guy, or as being open to the extreme right, and this whole so called 'greyzone' "discussion" and this annoying "with us or against us" attitude really sucks. But at the end of the day it's still better than this stupid non p.c. scenery, where everything is fine, even the last total racist bullshit, as long as you are just bothering the guys of the AFA. So, I think that should be enough said 'bout this topic.

So now to this issue: On circa 98 pages we do get tons of reviews (records, zines, dvds, books, gigs/concerts, etc.), a very well done Skinhead history (to celebrate the forty years anniversary of the Skinhead culture), a bunch of very cool and entertaining columns and reports, introductions of bands/labels/records/samplers, and a lot of fuckin' good done interviews, that carry a lot of informations and make big fun to read. My personal favorites are the interview with the great LOS FASTIDIOS (strictly and strong anti-fascist Oi! from Italy), with the KAMIKAZE QUEENS, ANTI-FLAG (even I really don't like this band...), THE REAL McKENZIES, and with "I Used To Fuck People Like You In Prison - Records". And the nice tour report of the DISTEMPER european tour also really rocks. So, if you ask me: If you are just a little bit into this whole Punkrock world, then you should really read this zine. Fuckin' good job!!! All very passionate and honest, without garbage cliches and without donned images. Read it!!! Ah, it's all done in german, coming in a very fancy black/white lay-out (coloured cover), and with two free CD Label Samplers, one of "Mad Butcher Records" and of "Contra Records". Here you have my honest recommendation: Buy it!!! Read it!!!
