Yeahr folks,

damn am I 'powered out', hard work out in the gym today, uhm, and after I knew that I would have some free time to spend this evening I wanted to do some more postings here on this very blog... but okay, I promise I'll keep working on it, let us wait how many miles I travel today/tonight here for ya on the road called "MANSLAUGHTER THUG LIFE", and then we'll see, haha;-)!!! For now I will start with a video tribute of or saying "Hail!" via a video posting to the great BATTALION 86, once dead now back alive, for all what I'd heard. I love this band and their great "AND THE SPIRIT SURVIVES..." record. Musically a fantastic hard and brutal stomping, guitar driven American Oi! masterpiece, for all the fans of great bands like TOTAL ANNIHILATION, FEAR CITY, VANGUARD, CRUCIAL CHANGE, and the also the legendary OXBLOOD, hell yeahr, just great stuff!!! Also their forceful and unbroken and outspoken and militant lyrics really damn convinced me (and do it still). You really get a good impression of the fiery unbroken fighting will after the cowardly attacks of subhuman Islamofascists back on 9/11/2001 (the record was recorded back then), and while for example here in Germany the majority of bands- if they somehow used to sing about this topic anyhow- used to do some appeasement crap, bullshit lyrics like of the STAGE BOTTLES to their song "WESTERN CULTURE" had been the outcome, talking bullshit about so called imperialism and colonialism, incredible stupid, but closing the ranks shoulder to shoulder with the lowlife scum of the Islamofascists breed and all the Appeaser cowards, what a farce, it's still hard to believe for me, but fuck it and fuck them all!!! No, okay, how-ever, a band like BATTALION 86 really demonstrated how it should have been done instead!!! And that you get by them, great lyrics and damn good, hard, real and justified attitude, patriotic, working class, supporting the armed forces, critical on the ruling system, 'give them the chair' mentality, all unbroken, gladiatorial, militant, proud, free, angry and back for attack, great job, even still today and maybe also today more than before!!! So, yes, I really feel the need to let this great band being more represented on this very blog here than just with a review of their record, and that's why you now get a clip to their great patriotic battle anthem "FIGHT THE FIGHT", and that's really a musical swing of the crowbar, I tell ya!!! BATTALION 86 - "AND THE SPIRIT SURVIVES..." ("Reality Clash Records"; CD):

Yes, this fine piece of American Oi! music is already a little bit older right now, I know. But the band decided to quit soon after the release of this record, but- praise the lord or whom or what-ever...- it seems that they are these days together again and also working on a new record, and that would really be more than just great!!! And yes, to introduce them to you and also this record I don't give a single damn about how old this record today now is, hm, maybe just take it as another little 'classical record' that's being reviewed here by me. This patriotic U.S. guys are playing dustdry and massive and heavy American Oi! on a pretty high level of quality. Basically inspired by old british Oi! legends like THE LAST RESORT (BATTALION 86 do also cover "VIOLENCE IN OUR MINDS" of them in a pretty cool way) and CONDEMNED 84, as well as by some few old tyme U.S. Hardcore roughnecks like WARZONE and SLAPSHOT and AGNOSTIC FRONT, and also by a lot of good ol' American Oi! music, and they do it all already pretty unique, and that's really cool and damn good!!! Especially the damn good and interesting songwriting as well as the very well-versed guitar work and the brutal yet smart vocals really knew and know to convince me (and that right from the start). And knowing how to play their instruments they also know for sure!!! If you like FEAR CITY, TOTAL ANNIHILATION, CRUCIAL CHANGE, and COUNTERATTACK, and if you imagine a pretty much alone standing mixture out of all these bands, then BATTALION 86 are really a 'listening-duty' to ya. It all comes in a great designed artwork, with first class (very militant) lyrics, and in pretty dirty and very good production sound. If you still don't have it, then waste no more time any longer and try to get it!!! Damn good stuff!!! Cheers & Oi! (9 of 10 points)
