Okay, this is not the latest and so also not the still newest and current issue of this mighty fanzine from Austria run by Bomml. I've already reviewed the newest current issue of this zine last month and after this issue was also already released last summer I already then made clear that I desperately hope that Bomml will start working at a new "Oi! THE PRINT" zine issue finally again and you should also know by now that this very issue of the zine here is also quite a bit old already, spring 2011 or something like this it was published. But anyhow, after I just bought it this year in May (you know, fucked up 2011, if you now ask why) I will review it anyway and I also think that there should still be some copies of it floating around waiting to be finally sold one day laying in the stocks of some mailorder services, so you see, despite the pretty old age of this zine there are still enough reasons to review it up here anyway. On the cover there are MAJOR ACCIDENT live on stage to see and so you will find them also featured with a long and detailed interview on the pages of this issue and it's a great and brilliant interview that Bomml had done with this british Oi!/Streetpunk legends and more than worth the time to read through it all. Brilliant!!! Then also a double interview with Geralf of GLEICHLAUFSCHWANKUNG and "SAALE POWER RECORDS" as well as MI SAN DAO from China kicks off this whole issue, especially - beside the mentioned MI SAN DAO - about Oi! and Skinheads and Punks and Punkrock and Streetpunk in China and Asia,and it's very interesting and a grapping read. After this follows a phenomenal good done article special about Skinheads in Brazil in general and in Sao Paulo in particular, and that's really a fucking outshining good, interesting and incredible grapping read, thanks for this little big gem in here. Then a little retrospetion combined with a "What's currently now going on with the guys?" article about WARFARE respectively WARFARE 223 is featured, and that's very cool. This band was one of the best Skinhead and Oi! and later Oi!-ish melodic Hardcore bands from Germany of the last decade but so also maybe of all time of this styles of music and subculture done here in Germany as well, lyrically as well as musically and I also done a review of their final "FIERCE INTENTIONS" album released under the banner of WARFARE quite some time ago up here on this very blog, and it's really sad that this band because of pretty logical and justified reasons (especially what they say about the common total bullshit stupid Skinhead and Oi! scenery over here in Germany I can underline for more than 150%) went seperate ways back then, and I will make sure to check out the follow up bands of this band pretty soon in one way or another. Then a nice tour diary of VOLXSTURM comes, a nice and funny read for sure. Nothing special or so, but at least something funny, that's it. Then the next highlight comes off strong and big and pretty fascinating: Doug Dagger of THE GENERATORS and Kevin Cole of the TURBO A.C.'S, two ''Ex-Skinheads'' tell us about their short cropped days of youth in the early time and first golden era in American Oi! respectively U.S. Oi! and that's for sure just again a damn fucking bloody phenomenal read, like two grapping biographical road movies through the Skinhead days of the two sympathic guys, and it's bloody pure fucking damn platinum, thumbs up and cheers for it. Next ones are a pretty cool interview with the also pretty cool german Punkrockers in SUPERNICHTS and also JENNY WOO and her husband introduce us to their vinyl corner in the next part of the record collectors special series of "Oi! THE RINT FANZINE". Good stuff, both. Ater this we find the also above mentioned great MAJOR ACCIDENT with their also truly great interview. Nothing left to say about it, beside again thumbs up. Great!!! After this again the next little highlight is crashing right in, a special article about WOLFGANG AMADEUS MOZART and his decadent life he used to live. Great!!! Haha, this guy was pretty much through and through 100% Underground Rock & Roll Rebellion in its earliest form, haha;-)!!! Once again: Great!!! Then the as usual very good article about the very strong compilation CD and the bands featured on it comes next. Good stuff and a nice service for us the readers. Then a strong and interesting interview with AGENT BULLDOG from Sverige follows, but it's sad that they don't really say anything about them playing with fucked up WP/NS bands back then, simply not really answering to the questions dealing with this topic... But anyhow a great band and a damn good interview as well and truly for sure. Then the next outshining highlight comes with a long article about the fabtastic dog race of the almighty AMERICAN STAFFORD TERRIERS - AMSTAFFS - and the "PERKELE KENNEL" run by the "NO BOLLOX JUST Oi!" fanzine masterminds and this is a very good and strong affair, thanks for this one. More than great!!! THEN PERKELE are coming, and again this once great band is making themselves to a more and more ridiculous farce affair by their own hands respectively words. After they refused to call their music Oi! anymore and rearranging their Skinhead background today they even declare that ULTIMA THULE would have always been a through and through WP/NS band and had never been an influence for PERKELE and that they would have never been at concerts of this band. But I can remember very good older interviews with them in other zines where they displayed this all through and with their very own words very different... but the ''new breed'' will buy it them off anyhow... even they still make strong music this band becomes even more to nothing but a ridiculous farce, period. Bullshit talking nutjobs from Sweden, that's all. Can't believe what "COWARDS" this band used to turn into, it's really "SAD TO SEE" and where the hell is their "HEART FULL OF PRIDE" and if they still wave "THE YELLOW AND THE BLUE" after they stopped playing "WORKING CLASS REBEL ROCK & ROLL" and forgot btheir "STORIES FROM THE PAST" while the "VOICE OF ANGER" made silent... to say it with the words of some of their very own songs. But I guess so they sell pretty much better than even before and that matters most these days... Forget about it, forget about them, next up is another big highlight, a "DE GUADE OIDE ZEIT" titled special report about early Punk, New Wave and other Underground Music in the early 1980's in Austria in general and in Vienna in particular, and this article is really a great done work again, thumbs way up high for it, point and fact. Then a nice band introduction of SMART ATTITUDE follows as well as the tattoo special gets continued and this time with Ricky from VOGELFREI. Nice stuff, both. Beside this all we get nice introduction words, truckloads of reviews of albums and zines, nice Skingirl and Skinhead pictures by BRITTA OELSCHLÄGER (or something like this), and some promotion sides, and finished is a brilliant packed up full with truckloads of highlights issue of the very best zine hopefully still around these days. All is written in German and in great tonguing and also Bomml's sidekicks, Hinkel from VOLXSTURM and Melanie, done as usual damn good jobs. All coming wrapped in colored pages and beside this coming in professional yet very passionated black and white layouted pages, and on top of it also with a great free compilation CD. What shall I write here and now more, just try everything to still get this issue whileyou maybe still can and enjoy the ride, a great reading journey, period. I desperately hope finally for a new one to finally come out hopefully some soon day!!! Cheers & Oi! Oi! Oi!

(Released in the summer of 2011and it is still the current newest issue of the zine and some copies of it are maybe still floating around here and there and so check some mailorders to get it if you should maybe still don't have it at home.)

Okay, here it is, the still current and newest issue of what is the by far best printed fanzine around these days. And I hope that Bomml (the guy who's doing and running the "Oi! THE PRINT" now since so many glorious years already) will keep it going. Like you see, this issue was already released back then by the summer of 2011 and there's still no new issue in sight or even already out or to be announced to come out soon and also the homepage and the facebook site of the "Oi! THE PRINT" is showing no new activities and Bomml had written me that due to private circumstances he have had no time to get a new issue settled together and that he's not quite sure if a new issue will ever see the light of the day one far or soon day. So, yes, damn it, I hope that Bomml will keep it going on!!! I think that there are still some certain copies of this issue should be floating around and so also I by myself just bought it at the beginning of this year and it was since the last issue of the "Oi! THE PRINT" that I once reviewed up here the first issue that I bought again. Like I've already mentioned one or two times before: 2011 was a terrible year and latest by the middle of it it went all incredible fast and deep down the drain. But fuck it, now it's 2012 and things are getting better finally again. So, okay, last month or so I figured it out from where to get also the precursor issue to this one and bought it as well. Also of this issue no. # 33 a review will come up in the I think so more or less near future of this blog, just that it may not confuse you if you see it then and think about the not correct posting row, if you get what I mean. Now enough of the general information small talk and straight into this very issue here. Bomml and his two sidekmicks Hinkel (the VOLXSTURM guy) and Melanie settled again a damn great issue together, packed up full with great interviews and/or band(hi)storys with the Soul youngsters from Spain of AL SUPERSONIC & THE TEENAGERS (very sympathic band and the interview made me damn cuious about them), the MARTEN'S ARMY (good and detailed interview, and maybe at least some guys a.k.a. stupid fucks over here in Germany will stop witch-hunting this band), the almighty COCK SPARRER (awesome band as well as interview with them), TOXPACK (good band with a great interview as well for sure and it's pretty cool and damn okay that they distance themselves pretty straight and clear from this German Rock crap, but why the fuck they then participate in this terrible compilation album with the title "NEW GERMAN ROCK" that was released one or two months ago in 2012 now a days... sell out affairs or what...), the new overly hyped Oi! Oi! Oi! darlings from out of the U.S. named THE OLD FIRM CASUALS (but with the interview Bomml did a great job as usual, even I still don't get this fucking hype that's made around and because of this band from the pro to the contra side of things), SLEDGEBACK (interesting interview with this multi-cultural Streetpunk band from the States), with THE JONS (the band of some sons of the guys in COCK SPARRER, nice interview but the band itself isn't something for me, but that's also not the matter), OPERATION SEMTEX (bullshit band, nothing left to say about it/them), JOHNNY WOLGA (good interview with an for me uninteresting band). Then we also get a great introduction of the amazing "Oi! THE BOAT RECORDS" label, a tribute to the almighty legendary DORIAN YATES (Skinhead, Bodybuilder, Legend!!!), some pornographic short story stuff, the usual psycho killer story (this time linked with a movie review of the film "ANGST" which is to be translated with "FEAR" if you want to translate it literally), and the great record collector column (this time starring the BOVVER BOYS) and the aöways pretty cool tattoo column (this time with Lars Frederiksen/THE OLD FIRM CASUALS and Roger Miret/AGNOSTIC FRONT), great introduction words and a big bunch of reviews of records and zines and such stuff on top of it to make it all round. You see, a big if not also great package of great music and other topics that you really should have to read if you still don't have it. It's all written completly in german and in damn great grapping and funny tonguing, coming in a first class black and white lay out (with a coloured front and back cover), not too much promotion nonsense (instead only some very few promotional stuff), a damn great compilation CD and if you are interested in several forms of Oi!, (Street-) Punk(rock), and other forms of short haired as well as mohawked music and if you then miss this piece of music fanzine literature then you miss something incredible great and damn necessary, point and fact. Awesome zine, period!!! Get it!!! Cheers & Oi!

Here it is, the currently newest issue of the "ONE & ONLY AUSTRIAN DRINKINGCLASS FANZINE", the mighty "Oi! THE PRINT", from straight out of the city named Vienna. Yes, after some serious computer troubles (read the introduction words) Bomml and his sidekicks Melanie and Hinkel (of the great german Oi! band VOLXSTURM) had finally finished the work and are giving us their newest issue to read. Something I really just can't understand these days is the fact that over the last months especially in Germany a big bunch of the so called and self proclaimed Skinhead and/or Oi! fanzine elite had started hustleing against the "Oi! THE PRINT". Okay, we all know latest since the 1930 years that it's a special relationship that we Germans do have going on with the guys wearing cherished moustaches and are coming from Austria;-), but I'm really asking myself: "WTF?!?" do all these stupid fucks have for problems with it... It's one of the very, very best fanzines around, still after all this years done with a lot of passion and pure dedication to the bands and the music, and if you're into Oi!, Streetpunk, and Punkrock, and also (especially Old School) Hardcore, SKA, Soul, (Skinhead) Reggae, and Psychobilly, than you won't find any better zine that is able to serve your needs better than this one here. Point and fact!!! Let them ran their big mouths about that you find no radical and/or extreme right wing bullshit in it, let them think that it's a lack of what-ever that you find no bullshit stories about stupid drinking 'action' or redundant and retarded gig reports 'impregnated by alcohol', no (mostly stupid and unreflected more or less radical right wing crap) political garbage that's being preached by zines that won't get tired to call themselves still unpolitical all the time, let them ran their oh so big mouths no matter if 'they' call themselves "S**** & S***", "F***********", or "M***************", just to name three of this crappy zines (especially compared with the "Oi! THEPRINT" and the level it's done on and especially also how it's done), and forget about also stupid fucks like the guys that are doing the "P*******!" zine and their ridiculous left wing hustle against and because of the oh so shady political agenda of the "Oi! THE PRINT", fuck them all!!! Sometimes I really ask myself if the so called 'scene' (what ever this may be or mean...) is only here in Germany flooded by this at least intellectual incestuous jackasses and faggots from the left to the right and vice versa, or is this a sickness that needs to be cured in more countries and 'scenes'... From the right you get to hear you're P.C. (which means, for example you're something like an AFA-faggot) just because you don't give a fuck about racism or what-so-ever, and from the left you get to hear you're not-P.C. (which means that you are, for example, open to the radical and/or extreme right wing political movement and their ideas) just because you're not interested in this stupid AFA-games. It's really damn annoying!!! How-ever, now back to the topic, the review of this issue here: As usual it starts with some introduction words of Bomml and also of Hinkel, and then we do get a ton of content to read through here. Interviews (done also pretty different and fresh) with "STAY GOLD FX" (design and grafix, very interesting), with the legendary PATRIOT (great, great band, one of my all time favorite groups, and also a really damn good and interesting interview, thumbs up), with the german Oi! Punk band PÖBEL & GESOCKS (brrr, totally not my band and I still think- today more than ever-, that this is a pretty embarassing band, haha;-), but okay taste and perception can do differ quite a bit when it comes to music, like we all do know, haha;-)...), a fantstic interview with the great Hardcore band WORD FOR WORD (great band, great music, brilliant interview), with the german Oi! Punk band SUSPEKT (nice stuff, even also this band didn't managed to convince me of German Oi! music... but a really great-to-read-interview), with the 'smart scotsmen' ON FILE (it's damn good that they are back on track, and also this interview is really and truly damn good, again, thumbs up), and also interviews with the Powerpop band THE PIKES (brrr...) and THE PISSTONES (very good young band from Germany, even it's a shame that also this guys seem not to dare to call themselves Oi! and choose to call themselves Punkrock instead... WTF?!?), and all interviews are pretty good stuff, and it doesn't really matter if you like the interviewed bands or not, but the interviews are all really very good stuff, and that's all what you can ask for of an interview. Beside this we do get some tour diaries (or something like this;-)...) of VOLXSTURM and SUPERYOB, and both are really fun to read, then the great GIMP FIST introduce the songs of their current record to us, we get a new very good part of the "TATTOO REPORT" (thumbs up!!!), Karsten of the NAZI DOGS is presenting his record collection to us, "ANFIBIO RECORDS" gets introduced to us, we get a nice special feature to the ENGLISH BULLDOG (but don't take it all that serious if you're wanting to become an ENGLISH BULLDOG as your mate, 'cause it's very, hm, let us call it: subjectively done and the race of this great, active and powerful dogs gets not portrayed that much correctly at all), some austrian DJ's do get some room to introduce themselves to us (here comes especially (Skinhead) Reggae and some SKA and Soul into play), tribute is payed to the old austrian Hardcore/Punk band EXTREM, and the London Crime Scene of the 1950's and 1960's and their C.E.O.'s the KRAY BROTHERS get introduced to us (to find out what's the meaning of and the story behind the old THE WARRIORS hymn "FREE REGGIE KRAY", and that's really a brilliant one, great to read, thumbs up!!!), and beside this all the bands that are featured on the zine compilation get introduced to us. Further more we get a big load of record and fanzine reviews, yes, and the already mentioned fanzine sampler on top of it. Like you see, we do get a lot of really good and interesting and grapping content to read and discover, and it's all done very, very passionated and dedicated, and that's just great!!! It's coming in a fantastic black and white layout, wrapped by some colored back- and frontcover (the frontcover motif looks great, really!!!), with brilliant grey contrasts and picture quality, and all witten in grapping and sheer great tonguing and completly in german. Yes, as usual this fanzine is really just great and a sheer must-read, so go and get it, great work, again: Thumbs up!!! And on top of it we do get the mentioned CD that as usual gives us a lot of cool stuff to discover, for example an unreleased new PERKELE song, and much more interesting bands and good and grapping songs. So, again, also the CD is one argument more to get this new issue here. So, there' not much left to say about it anymore, but: Get it!!! With the "DER ZWERGPIRAT" the very best fanzine around, trust me!!! So go and get it, and I'm also looking really forward to th next issue, 'cause that will be something like a little 'special one' 'cause it will not only the new upcoming issue of the "Oi! THE PRINT" fanzine but also something like the farewell issue of the great "VOICE OF THE STREETS" fanzine, so watch out and be prepared for it!!! In the meantime, enjoy this one here, it's great!!!

Now, that's a good option to give you a video of the great and legendary PATRIOT here, after they are also featured in this current issue of the "Oi! THE PRINT" here. I love this band, their music, their records, their lyrics, their message, their attitude and their mentality, and as soon as the 'American Oi! History Series' here on this very blog finally reached the 1990's they will also be featured here, hm, and I'm also thinking about to do an interview with them, time will tell, so for now, enjoy the song!!! PATRIOT - "TWO FACED TIMES"

Yeahr, I'm firing out of every cannon, haha;-), and so here you get the review of the current issue of the great "Oi! THE PRINT" fanzine, coming out of Vienna in Austria, the country of the guys that are wearing cultivated moustaches, hehe;-). Great issue, I can tell ya already at this starting point. But Bomml, what the hell is with the PATRIOT article that was everywhere announced?!? But okay, that's the only dissapointment when it comes to this issue here. We do get that much content on our eyes, so that I will just name you my absolutely favourites. So, here we go: The article about IRON CROSS is a brilliant piece (and damn, it's so fuckin' pity that the interview that I wanted to do with them never came to happen...), the interview with STOMPER 98 is really damn good and interesting (and it should wreck down a lot of the cheap talk that goes on about this band and their memebers... but nah, I could bet that a lot of the 'critics' of the band are just too dumb and too arrogant to see and accept the truth about this band and the bandmembers, but you know what, fuck that scum!!!), the Australia special (featuring a little review in history, and introductions of MOUTHGUARD, SLICK 46, and T.H.U.G.) really rocks, as well as the article about "LONGSHOT MUSIC", then the interview with the boozers of RED ALERT is a must read, and also the interviews with the GUV'NORS, the CLICHÈS, UNANTASTBAR, and THE VALKYRIANS are very, very good done stuff!!! So check them out!!! Beside that we get much, much more, more interviews respectively band introductions, travel-experience-bulletins, stories about murder / rapist scum (why the hell ever... what's so fascinating about that genetic garbage...), nice Skingirl pin up pictures, loads of very good reviews of records and fanzines, pages filled with informations to the bands on the CD compilation, introduction words, and many stuff more. It's really again a great fanzine, that you should really call your own!!! It's coming with a free CD, mostly truly full of great music and bands, and with coloured front- and backcover, the pages deigned in a very characteristic and fuckin' good black and white layout with fine grey contrasts and brilliant foto quality, all written in german and in very grapping tonguing, and that kind of praise applies also for Bommls sidekicks Melanie and Hinkel. It had become trendy in some parts of the german Oi! and Skinhead scene to ran your mouth 'bout the "Oi! THE PRINT", just because you won't find any radical right wing scum in this fanzines, and because of that it would be too p.c. and too mainstream-adapted, but shall I tell you one thing: Don't give a damn about that bullshit talking done by empty heads with too big mouths, rather just buy that fanzine and also that issue here. Great job!!!

To the CD- I've forgotten that informations this afternoon- let me tell you some facts: The CD- no CD-R, a real CD- comes in a fat full colour printed paper jacket, presenting us a really cool looking old school Oi! Skinhead Power artwork, and it is a really great sampler that's really that much better than a lot of the sampler garbage countless labels wants you to buy these days. All songs come in a diverse, but always good production sound, and the skid of music reaches from Oi! and Streetpunk to Skinhead Rock & Roll, Punkrock, German Rock, SKA, and acoustic and somehow singer songwriter stuff. All songs are at least good, but there's a bbig, big unch of great and amazing music. You really should listen to the outshining 45 ADAPTERS, to the breath-taking JENNY WOO, the awesome PISSTONES (damn, is this some fantastic music, compared with brilliant lyrics, I really need to listen to more of them), listen to the great young brickwall Oi! band SKINFULL, to the fantastic American Streetrock band BLOOD STAINED BRINDLE (also damn great lyrics), to the party tunes of ARTHUR & THE SPOONERS, the australian Oi! warhorses PLAN OF ATTACK, the very good english Oi! band GIMPFIST, to the fantastic Hooligan Rock act CONTROL, to the legendary STOMPER 98, to the 'young' german Oi! Punk band LOST BOYZ ARMY (the new band of Zoni, former singer and founding member of the former german Oi! Punk but now Emo / Indie Pop band VERLORENE JUNGS), the German Rock bouncers UNANTASTBAR, and to the clinking LOUSY from the german city called Chemnitz. So, what shall I say more, just get the awesome zine and the great bonus CD, and spend some good times with both of them. Get it!!!

Oi! the Print goes Oi! the Web...

"Oi! THE PRINT" Issue No. # 29 (including a CD) Fee: 2,50 Euro

Here we do have the yet up-to-date issue of this first class printzine, dedicated especially to Oi!, Streetpunk, and Punkrock, but also very much to SKA, Reggae, and Hardcore music. It comes from Austria, and Bommel, the guy who is doing it, is around for quite a while. The zine is a printzine and damn, that's what I call professional but still D.I.Y. and Underground and Subculture enough to be what you can truly call a through and through FAN(!)zine. Great!!! The issue no. # 28 was a little bit weaker than the usual standard of the "Oi! the Print", but hey, that's a very high standad, so that's grouching on a very, very high level. And yes, that was sometime back yesteday, and this issue no. # 29 here is definitely a move back to the old and usual strength of Bommel's work. Oh, but okay, also his "new" side kicks Melanie and Hinkel (of Germany's top Oi! band VOLXSTURM) are doing a very, very good job. On the cover we do see Roy Pearce of THE LAST RESORT... and what shall I say, it's maybe not the most beautiful cover in the history of fanzines, haha;-). But now the content of this issue here: It's as usual that much stuff that I just name my favorites. First I have to mention the interview with THE TEMPLARS, done by Melanie. Not just because they're one of my absolute favorite bands ever, but also because it's something a little bit special and definitely not your ordinary interview stuff. You have to read it!!! Damn good job!!! Then the interviews with the great THE DOCKSIDE HOOKERS (infernally good Canadian Oi!, I can't wait to finally get their "Killing the Music" 7", released on "Bandworm Records"), the reformed Streetpunks of THE DROOGIEZ from Nuremberg (cool music, damn good interview), the legendary THE LAST RESORT (nice shot!!!), and with the german Streetpunk youngstars of STRONGBOW, done by Hinkel (cool stuff, and you should really check 'em out). The writing (of everyone of the three) is fuckin' good, very cool, all very passionated and stout-hearted, it really makes you to want to read on and more and more. Also I have to underscore, that also the story about the fine german label "Grover Records" is just brilliant, as well as the very interesting introduction of the new Skinhead documentation "Skinhead Cross Culture", and also the bandhistory/interview mixture about/with Garry Lammin (former COCK SPARRER guy) and his new (?) band THE BERMONDSEY JOYRIDERS and the story about the german clothing label "RageWear" (very sympathic) are just fuckin' cool, nice to read, and good done. Very good stuff. Beside that we do also get a lot of more fine stuff here, that you really should have read, more very well recherched interviews, more bandhistories, more bandintroductions, informations to the CD (very, very good stuff on it), a huge bunch of reviews (records, fanzines, ...), and much more, so that you have even more reasons to read this issue. Like you always should read this zine here, it's a Must-Read!!! Great!!! Get it!!! Ah, and the new issue no. # 30 will be coming very soon, in a week or so, and I think again with a CD on top of it. So keep your eyes open!!! Ah, as usual, coloured cover and backcover, very fine black/white lay-out, very good picture quality, nice grey contrasts, very good writing complete in german, and the usual funky VHS video cassette format. Like I've said before: Get it!!! Cheers & Oi!
