Best of 2017; and: Happy new year 2018 and may the force be with you; and the power, too.

Hey my dear readers, I hope you all celebrated the changing of the years from 2017 to 2018 in a great way and however you wanted and/or did it was hopefully the right for you to welcome the new year and say goodbye to the old year. I was 'on the road' and had a great time doing so, hell yeahr, and so yesterday I was a little bit out of order and on stand by and so this post just comes up today. To be honest then I have to admit that this very one here primarly should come up already at the 31st of december of 2017 but on this day I was simply just way too busy and yesterday, like already said, I was sort of put on stand by, yes, and so now this one comes up as the first post of 2018.

First of all I would like to say 'Thank you all!' to my readers, old and new, that follow this blog (again) since its 'revitalisation' since it's 'back from the dead' finally again since the summer of 2017. Thinking about it, hm, I think it had been (more or less) pretty decent six months up here and I decided to continue the work up here also now in 2018. When 'revitalizing' this very blog here in the july of 2017 I think I did sort of a 'Hey, I'm back!' post (or passages) in/with which I mentioned I sort of planned or thought about doing someting completly new, fresh'n'big... well, I thought about it again and again and finally decided 'not' or 'not yet'. In my life or better my private life I had to face a lot of 'complex situations'n'changes' that were challenging and that I had to overcome and while doing and succeeding in doing so I came to the conclusion that concerning this very blog I am happy with this blog being 'back a-live' and with the way it is now 'back a-live'. I decided to focus right now only on my-self for the next months or year and I have a lot on my agenda for 2018. Real life stuff, you know. It's not that I really had any sort of 'thought-through'n'worked-out plans' because in 2017 since the summer more or less all plans fell apart and I had to rebuild quite a lot since then and so any 'real'n'proper planning' is not of any concern for me in/for 2018 but a lot of 'things' I simply want to 'make real' sooner or later over the next twelve months and this 'on many fronts'. And after this whole blog or 'online-thing' is nothing else but a beloved but also just a little hobby for/of me I am realistic and don't want it all to become too 'time-intensive' but rather just keep it going and then maybe some/one day we will see if it starts to become more important to me again or anyway bigger but since then I will stick with this good old blog as long as possibel, so to say. So yes, starting something new... to be honest... maybe one/some day but simply and definitely not yet, nah, because it would be far too 'time-consuming' to do it in a proper way and so I decided to just stick with this very blog also in 2018. Something new would've been also filled with a lot of more 'nerdy stuff' because beside a lot of other stuff I am a huge fan of all this actionfigures'n'toylines stuff, as well as comics, animes, cartoons, games, movies, and such stuff, yes, and this sort of now all my life already... yes, it's true: I was a nerd before it was cool to be a nerd; so to say. So maybe I will add some of this stuff in the future to this blog as well as I am maybe doing some new 'sports' stuff up here again, time will tell. I will 'keep me this doors open', if you get what I say. But mostly this blog will also in 2018 be focussed and 'concentrated-the-most' on music and I will do from some point on also again more than just reviews on (brand)new, older, and old records up here, interviews, band-histories, 'specials', and such stuff. Don't ask me when and what but sooner or later more of this will be added up here - again. Just let me find the time to do so. Also don't ask me about how many posts I am planning to do per months, hell I have not a single clou. There will surely be very active months and then also more quite months and maybe also months that will proabably'r'maybe see no new (proper) posts at all, however, time will tell, but anyhow this blog will continue to go on.

Okay, with that all said... yes, what about any kind of 'top of 2017' list, like all blogs and sites do or (mostly) already did and like also I used to do them as well in the past? Well... okay, but this year I will do only a short overview and not a more or less deatiled list like in the past. In parts due to the fact I haven't done all record-reviews on 2017 releases that I sort of 'had-to-do' so far and in parts due to the fact that I simply can't name a that clear 'album of the year of 2017' for example and so I will just give you sort of a short and quick overview right now, right here. But just let me mention that I personally think that 2017 was a very strong year music-wise, yes, no matter at which particular genre (concerning this very blog here) we now may 'look'. Hey folks, it's been a while, and what shall I say... as time goes by so the changes do... You have not a clue what this now shall mean? Hey folks, just wanted to let you know that I have finally a really working internet access in my new so far current but anyhow just temporary home, so that you can expect new stuff to come more or less pretty soon - finally some new stuff.

But, to be honest, currently I am thinking about calling it a day up here and moving on to new shores and starting sort of a new project, a modification of this blog here or name it however you want to name it - fresh it up after sort of five years again... we will see as time will tell us, I'll keep you posted.

Still coming back, still a fighter and not a quitter after all.

Hey guys, I'm back again. After the last weeks up here had been pretty silent and my lust for blogging pretty much vanished into the void now things changed again (...drastically), hm, now looking back I would maybe wish that my private life would had been that calm and silent... instead of this a lot of on what I was working on and for and that I build up exploded or maybe better imploded with a final blow last Saturday...

After several great and joyful years spend together my relation to or with my now former girlfriend is nowadays history... I won't go in it too deep or cry here and now, we all made this experiences, and even it hit me pretty much straight from out of nowhere and really hurt me lookin' on it now just a few days after it, hm, it somehow feels good and sort of right, don't ask me what this now exactly means but anyhow, yes, I think this should tell me a lot and so anyhow, okay, it's time to refocus and to rethink things, yes, but that's another story...

After I suddenly had to house-move again it all went pretty quick and right now after just sort of four or five days I have already again a new own internet access and so in the next days new posts will come up, so stay tuned for it.

Hey folks!!! It's currently pretty silent up here, I know. Even I announced that pretty much silent periods will come to happen up here since I've changed the running formula up here quite a bit, I anyhow just wanted to let you know that currently I work on bringing the 2 DIAS DE SANGRE interview finally up here for you to read. But it's a really long interview and how long it really is I see now, with working on it. I have to translate it all from german into english, and basically so that's where all the work comes from. Currently I worked through nearly the half of it, so if I can keep it up going like this then somewhere between Wednesday and Friday next week it will or maybe better should be up for you. I'm a little bit behind my personal deadline, because the last five days, including today, Jane and I had been on a little short-holiday-trip, so that I just came home recently today and will start working on it again tomorrow evening after I stopped working on it for five days now. The next record review package will come up here by the end of May or the beginning of June and it will be a really huge one, and some time like this with June to start also the first theme days will come up here for you, I have them already in the making. But for now, first stay tuned for the first class interview with the amazing 2 DIAS DE SANGRE. And now just have a nice evening and then tomorrow I wish you all a good start into the new week.

New internet access.

Hey folks, just writing today to let you know that finally I have a new internet access that seems to work like it should, so be sure that latest at the coming weekend finally some new posts will come up, first will be reviews of the current releases of STOMPER 98 and, yes, it's true, MANOWAR, as well as also finally the review of the HORRIBLE x HANGOVER demo will come up here, all followed up then finally by the retrospection of 2012 and then finally 2013 can really start up here. A lot of stuff is in the pipeline, so stay tuned.

Things will be started up with reviews of three killer records, and this are: THE HARRINGTON SAINTS - "PRIDE AND TRADITION"; BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN - "WRECKING BALL"; and RUNNING WILD - "SHADOWMAKER".

After this some new stuff is also in the pipeline, reviews of albums of WOLFBRIGADE, AS I LAY DYING, ONESTA, THE DROOGIEZ, SUFFER THE PAIN, HORRIBLE x HANGOVER, the LAZY BASTARDS, I AM REVENGE, the almighty PRO-PAIN, VARG, JOEY RAMONE, DISAGREE, GRAVE, ARMORED SAINT (a re-release, but who cares), VISION (old but great), as well as some few albums that reached me via electronical mail through the web the last days or weeks (THANX to the guys for sending me their stuff) are waiting to come up here, as well as some few new fanzine reviews of current issues of the "OX FANZINE" and the "PLASTIC BOMB FANZINE", and some movie reviews of several different stuff from first class movie hits to crappy cheap slasher thrash like "100 MILLION B.C." and "ALIEN VS. ZOMBIES".

And just that you know it, in the near future I will concentrate heavily on doing the mentioned review stuff before I focuss on doing other stuff up here again. Btw, next sport postings will be tributes to PHIL HEATH and KAI GREENE, currently I work on them both but don't ask me when they will up here to read, more or less soon, at least I do hope so, but for now the focuss heavily lies on doing the mentioned reviews. I simply just want to avoid the messed up shit on doing all the reviews that came off short or that I used to forget to do in 2012 then finally in 2013 and spending a large part of the next year up here with working my schedule of 2012 finally off, like it was this year in the first half. So okay, that's it, more finally again tomorrow. And then for now sleep well and good night!!!

Motivation...

Hey guys, two weeks already gone by this month and not much going on here, so I'm just writing and posting to let you know that currently I just can't find the motivation to do something up here, I can't come up with the energy to put into proper posts up here that I normally put into the work I'm doing with this blog and so currently I decided to lay it to rest for a while untill this changes again. Something that was already dawning last month, to be honest. At the moment there's just to many other stuff far more exciting and interesting, entertaining and important to me than blogging and sitting infront of my PC and staying in. I know that there's still more than enough to do this very year up here, just thinking of all the records waiting to be finally reviewed, so this is no saying bye for the rest of the year and also hell no deciding to quit, this is just the announcement of a little break or so up here, nothing more, nothing less. More or less regular readers know that this can change soon, prompt and quick, maybe already within the next week with the weather turning finally into Winter again, but maybe it will also take some time. And so, don't you wonder, just that you know about it. And untill then all the best and check out and get the new PRO-PAIN masterpiece album, finally this legends are back as strong as they and there work are meant to be. And don't you ever forget...

 

 

Not much free time for blogging...

Hey folks, currently it's a little bit (let us say) relaxed up here, due to the fact that over the last nearly two weeks now I simply didn't find that much free time to spend up here for blogging. A lot is waiting in the pipeline to come up here finally and I really hope that from this week on  I will be able to find the time to change things again. A lot of new albums waiting to be reviewed, and after I did over the last months especially reviews of "online releases" sent to me and so on and was in a hurry and in a trouble to get it all done somehow more or less in time I decided to cut this now and finish first the releases that are waiting now partially already some months ago to be reviewed up here. So the singles of the STRONG ISLAND BOOTBOYS and of LIGHT YOUR ANCHOR will be reviewed soon, as well as albums from AS I LAY DYING to RUNNING WILD and from BIOHAZARD to ONESTA will be finally reviewed as well up here by me for you. Also the new releases of I AM REVENGE, SUFFER THE PAIN and HORRIBLE x HANGOVER as well as the demo of DIS.AGREE will be up hopefully pretty soon. And especially a very big THANKS to Stefan/SUFFER THE PAIN and Miguel/HORRIBLE x HANGOVER (and WARKRUSHER) for sending me their new demos, THANKS guys, you're great!!! Also a interview with WARKRUSHER is currently in the work, more or less, after I just got the time to just settle the loose frame of it together by now, but it's in the work anyhow. And if I got my ass up also a interview with DEATH WILL SCORE will maybe come one more or less soon day. So Grindcore and Hardcore would be the next orders of the day in case of the ''Interviews'' department up here. The ''American Oi! History Series'' will also be continued, be curious about it. The ''Sports'' postings will be pretty sure continued with a review on the this years "MR. O." and a tribute to its victor. The supplement check up will also come for sure in the next time, as well as maybe something else different more. Fanzines, hm, there are only the current issues of the "OX FANZINE" and the "PLASTIC BOMB FANZINE" waiting in the pipeline. Will also come in the next week or so. Also a bunch of several different movies will be reviewed in the future, from thrashy stuff like "100 MILLION B.C." and "ALIEN VS. ZOMBIES - THE DARK LURKING" to big ones like "INGLORIOUS BASTERDS" some stuff is waiting in the pipeline. After I was over this year already again enjoying a lot of different live concerts there would be enough stuff to write about in the ''Gig Reports'' section, but still I am not that much excited about doing so and so I guess that the next ''Gig Report'' will still take some time before it comes up here to read some far away day. Especially after in the near future the focus will not be exlusive but anyhow pretty strong on doing finally the above mentioned reviews of records. So, you see, a lot is waiting. But currently I have a lot to do at and with work, as well as with my sports (aiming at maybe competing next year), and then there's also first and foremost my girlfriend and we're looking for a new appartment and much more, and also a lot of other stuff like this and so you see, not much free time and the little free time I simply didn't want to spend infront of my computer with blogging so much over the last two weeks but I will change this again pretty soon and maybe also already with and from this week on, at least so it's planned, and we will see what happens. Hey folks, I know I'm pretty lazy this month and this even while a lot of stuff is waiting here to come finally up. But currently I have a lot of stuff to do at work and while a lot of examinations of my pupils are waiting to be controlled by me this needs to come first and also we should not forget that I am a passionate football/soccer fan and you all should know what's currently taking place in the east of europe and what's currently coming as well as the working schedule duties first before new postings up here. I'm a little bit sorry because of this, truly, but I think we all need to get used to it these days, haha;-). Hopfully sometime around this now up coming next week or the then following next one this will change and more will be coming up again even this month (next month things will be heated up again), finally coming up again. Untill then now just a video clip is coming, and this time finally something different again, heavy ''technoid'' EBM musick by the german project of the name of PREUSSAK (a side project of VON THRONSTAHL) and this via their amazing cover of the infamous JOY DIVISION classic "WE WALKED IN LINE". Something different, something controversial (or however you may like to call it), but something great, anyhow, anyway. NOT DEAD YET, despise two months of absolutely nothing up here!!!

Hey folks, sorry for the now nearly two months of nothing up here!!! I'm very sorry for this!!! But for more than a month or so I was waiting to finally get my new own internet access at home and then I was stuck up to my chin in work and stress and trouble and lawsuits and drastically changes in life and so yes, fuck, and so it was not really possible for me to get something done up here. I'll be back in the walk of things in the next days again, maybe already from tomorrow or even today/tonight on or so, I won't promise anything but we will see. I know that there are still a lot of things missing that were originally supposed to come up in the last month of 2011 like for exmple tributes to STARS & STRIPES, as well as KAI GREENE and PHIL HEATH, not to mentioned the reviews that are still waiting to be finally released and posted up here, and also not to forget about the Manslaughter retrospection of 2011. All of this and truly new stuff will be up asap the next few days one after another.

A very big THANX to all of you who stood true to it and read through the blog, left comments (I will get worked through them all and try to answerthem all in one way or another) and joined the ranks as regular readers. The blog will be very soon up and active again. The direction will remain the same, even I'm currently think about some certain changes, but I won't announce anyhing, life's a bitch and before I would be taken out for a while and again nothing happens up here I will keep it all for now to myself and you can be suprised when it's done. The only thing: I'M DESPERATLEY LOOKING FOR A NEW LOGO FOR THE BLOG THAT FEATURES THE COMPLETE NAME WHICH IS NOWADAYS NOW FOR QUITE A WHILE ALREDAY MANSLAUGHTER THUG LIFE AND IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEA AND ARE GIFTED ENOUGH TO DO SO THEN PLEASE CONTACT ME!!! (I THINK ABOUT ANY KIND OF "PAYMENT" OR SO WE COULD TALK AND SHOULD COME TO A GOOD RESULT!!!)
