Rocket Rock!!! Science & Honor!!! Punkrock-meets-Rock & Roll-meets-Rockabilly-meets Punk & Roll-meets-Horrorpunk from outta space and that live in Braunschweig in the 'Gearbox'... you wouldn't believe it... you better believe it!!!

THE PHENOMENAUTS - "SCIENCE & HONOR - EUROPEAN TOUR 2011 TRAILER"

Concert with and of THE PHENOMENAUTS in the lion city called Braunschweig, at the 29. of January of the year of 2011, and it all took place in the underground bar'n'club of the name of "Gearbox", and now finally here comes the gig report of or to this concert, and now, yehp, let's go!!!

It was a very nice and fine and good saturday. I've spent the day with my beloved girlfriend out in the city going on a little shopping spree (or how-ever you use to call it in english, haha;-)...) and having a great and a fun time together. After some little cooking and so she was up and ready to go and see and visit a german comedian of the artist-nick-name of 'Paul Panzer' that was doing his show this night- also- in the german city Braunschweig (or Brunswick, the old and original one, not the new one;-)...) and I was planning on the spur of the moment what I would be doing this evening. Fuck, I know that this is something that maybe should be fixed by me before anyhow, but damn it, with so much work to do over the week I was really busy enough and so it all needs to be done off-the-cuff. Called my mates up, realizing that some where nowhere to be reached by me, some just sitting in the local nuclear sub, yehp, and of the supreme crew 'Peino' was bonking ;-) up there in the northest city of Germany, 'Zottel' was still working (just let the tax-hungry 'big brother' not know about it, haha;-)...), and so just 'Tobilicious' and 'Ossi' and I had been ready to fire it up together as a three piece tag team. Not really knowing what we should do, just knowing that all of us three felt no motivation to just sit at the bar in some local pub, 'Ossi' came up with the information and the idea to drive to Braunschweig to go and see the U.S. band of the name of THE PHENOMENAUTS (to me totally unknown before this evening... shame on me) play live this night in the bar/club "Gearbox". I was never before to this club'n'bar but it's a in nearly whole Germany very, very well reputated Rock & Roll, Rockabilly, Psychobilly, etc. pp. club (and bar), btw, not really my favorite styles of music, you know about it, and that's also the reason why I wasn't there before (ignorance and prejudices galore;-)...), but damn it, I didn't care or thought about it, and so the three piece crew of 'Ossi', 'Tobilicious' and me, myself and I were on the hunt for action this very night.
Reaching Braunschweig pretty soon, swilling some cans of my favorite energy drink, the mighty "ROCKSTAR" (even the PC faggots now-a-days even try to forbid me drinking this drink because of the political views of the owners of "ROCKSTAR", haha, damn it, must be hard to be a so damn big piece of fascist crap that everyone that's not completly on your side of the fence gets defamed and 'attacked'- via the www- and being named as the personified evil only because of his or her different views on politics, economics, and society, and that you still feel the need and dare to call yourself anyhow 'left' and especially 'anti-fascist', right, haha;-)... *lol*), and after a little 'paroling-and-bouncing' walk through the streets to the next bank and back again we stormed into the "Gearbox", and whooaaaa, what a little location. Basically a bar-desk and a little 'annex', yoahr, and that's it. That's what I call dwarfishly, haha;-). (Especially when it's full like it was at this evening/night.) But yes, it's a great location with great flair and spirit, truly a true Rock & Roll bar and club!!!
Pretty soon after we hit the dance floor ;-) we decided to leave this whole 'sober living' thing behind us for this evening (and/or night) and so it all kicked off really and pretty soon the amusement level was damn high, while the standard of our talking and its content pretty soon went deep down in and under and beneath the ground. The same as usual, haha;-). Pretty late, hm, I think somewhat like one-and-a-half-hour before midnight or so THE PHENOMENAUTS used to hit the stage. All dressed in some weird and cool "Star Trekk" like 'Space Uniforms' with helmets and much more accesoires like that, and after a great 1970's Horror/Sci-Fi B-Movie piano intro the concert really kicked off heated and strong. Okay, the first song was some total strange and sucking (and not the good kind of sucking, I can tell ya) affair, don't know what they've wanted to do or say anyhow with it, but okay, after this it became a damn great concert. Like I've already said, THE PHENOMENAUTS had been totally unknown to me and after 'Ossi' came up with this concert I expected some typical bullshit Psychobilly garbage or something like this (I mean all this typical awful crap he usually uses to listen to these days, haha;-)...) and to go to this concert was just more a 'it's-better-than-just-hang-around-at-the-bar-desk-of-a-local-pub-at-a-saturday-evening/night-and-so-okay-let-us-just-because-of-this-fact-go-there-and-have-some-fun-as-far-as-possible' - thing, but damn it, it should become an awesome night and a great gig. THE PHENOMENAUTS played (and play) some great and weird and totally stand-alone mixture out of THE RAMONES style good rockin' and even better rollin' PunkROCK, some Horrorpunk like THE MISFITS, some few RANCID Streetpunk impressions, a lot of Country and some of Blues, some Rockabilly and only very few Psychobilly reminiscencs in it, big portions of 1970's Horror and Sci-Fi movies and 1970's B-Movies (in general), ah, and even some more stuff. Great!!! Full of power and force, catchy and melodic and anthemic as fuck, energetic and fresh and dynamic, just fantastic!!! Two guitars and two singers, one guy at the keyboard/piano, a stand-up bass and a guy that's beating the drums, and mighty crew back up shouts, non stop action and power and movement up on stage and a crazy live performance. Fantastic!!! I can't tell ya how long they've played but it was long but still too short, also they had been called out two or three times to play some songs more. Dancing and laughing and party and (partially heavy) drinking all the time all over the place, hell yeahr, a great concert evening that I would never have expected, and also the band consists of great and sympathic totally non-plastic guys. Talked some rounds with them and bought a patch and record (the review will come soon) of them and then entered the bar-desk again and wished uncountable songs (and most used to be played... I think that speaks for my taste in music, haha;-)...), 'Tobilicious' heavily attracted the attention of a somewhat like 70 years old or so guy that used to donate him a CD of THE PHENOMENAUTS (without getting anything back, I can assure you, or at least I do think- or hope...- so, haha;-)...), fluctuaed to the next local "Burger King" after we three used to be the last guys in the bar, terrorized the "Burger King" employees and the other customers, going rampage in the streets on our way back to the car (... oh my god...) and then we entered the car again, after a damn great evening/night, and we drove back home... and why the fuck I was not until 4.30 a.m. at home (after Braunschweig is just 30 minutes away from our hometown, and I think we started in Braunschweig some-time around 3 a.m. or so) I can't tell ya, haha;-)!!! It was a great concert evening with some of my best mates, and in a great location and with a phenomenal band and also some cool other guys in the audience and with the very sympathic "Gearbox" crew, yeahr, and "Sorry!" for the certainly very 'anti-social' behavior of me and 'Tobilicious' to (or infront of) the nice guys that run the "Gearbox", damn it, haha;-), but be sure, we will always be coming back again, haha;-), and this is not threat, it's a promise, haha;-)!!! Great night!!! Cheers & Oi!

And now you do get two videos of them, real and pretty cool video clips, so enjoy this little collection of moved and moving ;-) pictures and check THE PHENOMENAUTS out!!!

To pass in review: Manslaughter-Gig Reports October 2010 and November 2010

Hey folks,
here now comes a little review of the concert gigs I was at last year in October and November. I've announced, hm, I guess via a 'General Informations' post two weeks ago or so, that I will give you the reports of the gigs all together in one new 'Gig Reports' post. Don't ask yourself why... The concerts had taken place already for quite a while ago (more or less, I know...) and so I can't guarantee ya anything about the details and stuff like this, and that's the reason why I decided to put it all together in one post up here, so that it will be worthwhile.
So okay, here we go, first stop DIARY ABOUT MY NIGHTMARES and HEADSHOT, CRIPPER and ESCALATION...
Saturday, the 09. of November of 2010 - It had been two concerts that I visited at this day. Both gigs taken place in Goslar Rock City. First date was the gig organized by Marcus of THROAT-CUT in Goslar in the B6  with DIARY ABOUT MY NIGHTMARES and HEADSHOT. I was the day on the road with my girlfriend and after she refues to listen to most of my music ;-) I said to her at the evening of this day "C'ya later!" and was on my way. I arrived when the first band DIARY ABOUT MY NIGHTMARES was already playing. Brutal Death Metal with deep growl vocals, 'shreddering' guitars and shitloads of Blast Speed parts. Not that bad, but at all a little bit too boring because it seemed to me like already 'heard-a-thousand-times-before' stuff. But anyhow they really knew how to make some solid vand good alarm and they already got the headbanging crowd pretty good going on. But one thing that I usually get aware of in the B6 over the last concerts I got also this time aware of: Damn, is it loud or is it loud?!? Whooaaa, my ears dictated me to go to the bar to have a drink and to watch the band from the door to the concert room. Damn it, I'm getting old, I guess, haha;-). It was fun to go to this concert, to finally meet Steffi again (Hey you!), as well as Marcus (of THROAT-CUT), and also Bruno and Tiffy (even it totally wasn't their music, haha;-)...), and again also a big bunch of some of my former pupils had been visiting this concert. After DIARY ABOUT MY NIGHTMARES next up would have been HEADSHOT. But I decided not to watch them anyhow, for two reasons: The crew called me up that they, which means in this case 'Pinne', 'Peino', 'Tobilicous', and 'Mayo', would be in the Tor III (also in Goslar City) and after I hadn't met the guys back then for quite a while I decided to go there. Especially, the second reason, because HEADSHOT just simply aren't my band, no, it's to me boring Thrash Metal somewhere between Old School and also a little bit New School, but okay, then I rather listen to the originals in SLAYER, OVERKILL, etc. pp., yehp, I'm not saying that HEADSHOT would be a bad band, but they aren't just 'my' band. So, yehp, Tor III was calling... And I payed entry fee for a second time for another concert this evening. Don't ask any questions... I asked myself already enough, haha;-). Arriving at the Tor III the first band ESCALATION was playing their last few songs... and thank the gods (or whom or what else ever) for this. Horrible Thrash Metal, all songs sounded the same, same (fast) pace, same rhythm, all the same. Nah, forget about. ESCALATION?!? Hm, maybe an escalation of boredom... Talked with the crew, had a laugh, had a say, met Julia (Greetings!), and then time was up for CRIPPER. Thrash Metal with some Death Metal influences in it, and fronted by a very nice to look at chica. CRIPPER was a good act, no doubt about it, nothing that I would need to listen to at home, but they played a very good gig and especially the live performance and the stage acting of the front girl was really, really damn good. If you like to listen to some Thrash Metal (more on the Old School side of things) with some Death Metal stuff in it, then check CRIPPER out, could be something interesting for ya. After the concert I talked with Julia quite a while and then I was up and away and going (or driving) home. Nice concert evening, even the concerts itself hadn't been that great at all anyhow and even if I wouldn't have needed to pay two times entry fee at all for this evening, nah, sure not, haha;-)!!!
Onward to Golgotha, next stop circa two weeks later and again in Goslar, this time with THE METEORS and their support act THE HOWLING WOLFMEN...
Saturday, the 23. of October of 2010 - If ya ask me Psychobilly is one of the most uninteresting and boring and especially most retarded genres of somehow to Rock (& Roll) and Punk music linked Underground music ever, but after the oh so legendary THE METEORS should be playing in Goslar (so more or less in my hood, haha;-)...) I decided to go and give them a fair chance to convince me at least live (after they've failed to do so with every single one of their records). I arrived a little bit late in the Tor III (yehp, again) and so I just saw the last song of the support band THE HOWLING WOLFMEN. I've known nothing of them before this evening and I will propably also in the future know nothing more about them. Okay, okay, okay, to judge by only one song isn't fair, I know, I know, I know, but watching this jackasses scratching on a wash board to play their song and 'singing' that terrible wrong into the mic, uh, uh, uh, didn't know that they meant this 'howling' in their bandname so damn literally. Okay, out of the room watched all these freaks and nerds that participated to join this evening in visiting this concert and I was about to laugh my lung out. What a bunch of absurd and laughable nerds... And with one of the biggest 'Peino' and I had been there, our buddy 'Ossi', incredible, just thinking 'bout his shoes... uh, uh, uh, haha;-)... Okay, how-ever, let the 'kids' have their fun, and soon THE METEORS climbed up the stage and started playing. What shall I say... I talked after their gig with Ede and we two experienced it the same way: They (which means THE METEORS) basically played one song for something about one-and-a-half-hour... The drum playing (beat, rhythm, pace) was more or less all the time the same, the contrabass playing sounded also all the time the same, and the guitar playing sounded just ridiculous equal, too, all the time. What a farce!!! The atmosphere was also pretty strange and violent, due to the occurence of the stage security of THE METEORS this evening. Nah, what a crap concert!!! And that all these Psychobilly, (Neo-) Rockabilly, Punkabilly, Punk'n'Roll, Greaser, etc. pp. bullshit is also nothing but a ridiculous trend farce, nah, I won't have to tell it ya. I really don't feel the need to tell ya more about it, I mean, it would latest then be nothing than running my mouth and this would be bullshit, too. I think I've made myself clear. Ah, but it was nice to meet Ede (thanks for the detailed informations about the future plans with THROAT-CUT and BLACKLIST LTD., and I just hope that it works all out like it's planned), Hank and Diane, greetings to ya all!!! Ah, and Sören was also there, alloting propaganda for some B6 happenings in the halls of the opposition of the Tor III, haha, 'comrade double-agent' at work, haha;-).
Last stop coming through, it had been the middle of November and it was Hardcore time, the 'homecoming' of the great 2 DIAS DE SANGRE (plus REBORN TO CONQUER, THE PLATOON, and BUTCHER), so here we go again on our journey through my final gig reports of 2010...
Saturday, the 13. of November of 2010 - It was really about time that 2 DIAS DE SANGRE returned to Goslar Rock City, and it was pretty clear from the start that I would be there. Especially because also at this day it was the first chance to get their phenomenal new split record with GIVE 'EM BLOOD at a concert of them over here in Germany. So okay, my girlfriend and I came home from a great saturday day-trip at the evening of this saturday. And while she was cooking 'Tobilicous' pretty soon called me where I would be... he was already their and waiting... So, okay, I decided to go a little bit earlier than planned, kissed my chica amante good-bye for the next few hours and on my way I was (like I've already said, we don't really have that much the same taste in music, haha;-)...), and again my destination was also the Tor III in Goslar Rock City. As I arrived I met promptly 'Tobilicous' and 'Pinne' should be coming a little bit later also. Next up had been cheerful salutations of and with Angelo (2DDS) and Jan (2DDS) and with Beat and Björn, and also some very good talkings with Angelo and Jan (all the best for you and your wife and your hopefully healthful new born child) followed up, and as 'Pinne' arrived three major parts of the crew (just look above) were finally together again, haha, and so it was clear that it would became a damn great evening anyhow, haha;-). Firts band had been BUTCHER. Beatdown Hardcore of the... pretty much sucking and damn boring kind... It's always a bad thing if a Beatdown Hardcore band thinks that it's enough to play all songs through-and-through in the typical beat-down-pace and if all your songs existing out of nothing but a beatdown part, yehp, that's not so creative after all and it's totally boring crap. Typical 'Tough Guy' lyrics to it, yoahr, and that was the performance of BUTCHER. Some violent dancing was going on and that was all. Nothing to remember anyhow. But maybe we will see a good future development of them mkore or less soon. Then followed one of the best Berlin Hardcore bands around, REBORN TO CONQUER. I've reviewed their both full length (...) records some time at the beginning of December of 2010 or so, so you can read more about and to them there. Great band, awesome live performance, and their ARKANGEL, INTEGRITY (2000) and ALL OUT WAR influences really came through even stronger than on their albums. Good interaction with the crowd, heavy violent dancing action, yeahr, great band, great gig, nothing left to say more here and now. After this 2 DIAS DE SANGRE followed. Handicaped by the fact that Denis (their singer) was in England (?) this weekend so that they had to do the gig with a displacement-singer. And even that guy did what he can and also a pretty good job at all this was the only weak point of their gig, because he just simply don't have the voice and the charisma and the stage performance quality of Denis. But anyhow they've done just a damn good job. Old and brandnew songs were fired into the crowd and if the Tor III security wouldn't had been so paranoid than the crwod action would have been much better. But so the security grabbed the guys who were doing some violent dancing and carried them out of the concert room. Bullshit, if ya ask me!!! So they turned the gig a little bit down, if you know what I want to say with that. But anyhow, and even Angelo and the boys weren't that satisfied and pretty annoyed with the gig I still think that it was a damn good gig by them. Point and fact!!! Last band of the evening was THE PLATOON. A great mixture out of metallic Hardcore (more) and Beatdown Hardcore (less), and they had given us a great concert, and also an awesome INTEGRITY cover. Violent dancing everywhere, great band, damn authentic attitude, great songs, it was an awesome gig of this to me before this evening totally unknown band. Somehow I can't tell ya more currently, because of the time that passed me by since then, haha;-), like I've already said I'm getting old, haha;-). It was a great evening and I would really wish that more concerts of this kind would be taken place here in Goslar City.
Hm, for all what I've heard then the Tor III will be history from 2011 on, what's a little bit pity, even it was never one of my favorite locations anyhow.
That's it, and some time in the future there will also come new 'Gig Reports' posting again, for sure, and then maybe also again one gig one post...

Rockabilly Cosa Nostra, Goslar, 'Tor III', 10. April 2010

Concert with the ROCKABILLY MAFIA and THE HOT WHEELS in Goslar Rock City, it happened at the 10th of April in 2010, it took place in the underground club called 'TOR III', and, finally, now here comes the Gig Report of this concert, so here we go!!!

Puh, it's been a while now since then, so I don't really have a clue how things went before the concert at this day... I really don't know it, fuck!!! (But to everyone out there who's younger than me, msyelf and I: Shut up, just get as 'old' as I am at this day, haha;-)!!!) But I do know that 'Ossi' was celebrating his birthday at this day, and that he decided early to go to this concert. (He's totally digged himself deep down into this whole Rockabilly, Psychobilly, Rock & Roll, '50s Rock, Boogie, etc. music stuff, so that decision should be to nobodody something like a wonder.) I thought to myself: "Hm, is this really something for ya?!?" I mean, ELVIS HITLER, REBEL SON, etc., all great music, defenitely, no problem with that, but the majority of this whole (up to date) Rockabilly-Psychobilly is absolutely nothing for me. But I decided to join the ranks and go to this concert. But then 'Ossi' told me that the fee to get entry to this happening was about 15,00 Euro... Whooaa, fuck it!!! It was a really hard inner fight, but okay, I called it (a.k.a. the thinking about it) a day and said yes!!! My sister drove 'Peino' and me to 'Tobilicious' and 'Zottel' where we get fired up a little bit for the concert evening, and then 'Ossi' came around and we went (or maybe drove) to the 'TOR III'. It was a great pity that 'Jojo' was sick at this weekend, it would had been great if she would had been able to join us (or, respectively, me, and maybe 'Ossi') at this evening, but we decided to make it a nice evening anyway. Okay, after I'm about to deny more and more the drinking of alcohol I was pretty much 'dry' at this concert, also much more because the next day I had a lot of work for the next coming monday to do and I also went to the city of Hildesheim to spend a fantastic day with my chica mucha, mucha bonita, but as I looked at the guys who were running around at this concert, I can tell ya, I was pretty much about to start heavy drinking!!! What a freakshow, haha;-)!!! But okay, maybe these guys thought the same about me, so let us call it a day, haha;-)!!! 'Peino', 'Zottel' and especially 'Tobilicious' were getting more and more loaded up, and the topics of the talks lost very, very fast any maybe at first given standard, haha;-)!!! I still don't know what was going on when I stepped to the guys and heard something 'bout the anticipated size of dicks of present attendants... Damn, I decided to turn around and give the bands a more than fair chance, not at least to be not being made common with this bullshit talks.
The first band to took over the stage had been THE HOT WHEELS from the german city of Braunschweig. The bass player had his stand up bass painted all over as the flag of the confederacy and it looked brilliant. Hm, some words to the music?!? Okay, here we go!!! They play some Rockabilly, pretty modern, but I wouldn't call it Neorockabilly (but I also don't have that wisdom when it comes to this kind of music, to be honest...), because they had huge influences of classical Rockabilly and '50s/'60s Rock & Roll in their music and they also covered some old ELVIS PRESLEY songs, also in pretty good way. But what shall I say, I like them on their records more than I like them live, because it really ticked me off to hear the drum player playing the same rhythm in the same pace and the same mood in every fuckin' song, damn, they were getting really, really boring. To listen to them on record I do with joy, but live they were not my cup of tea (beside the stand up bass painting), and so I choosed to walk around and get myself a water to drink. The played pretty long, I think something like over an hour or so. Like I've said, I decided to walk around the scenery and waited for the next (and also already final) band to come.
After a little break the ROCKABILLY MAFIA from somewhere in the federal german state of Schleswig-Holstein entered the stage, to celebrate 25 years of band existence. And what I heard really pleased my gusto. Beside the total nonsense lyrics they truly played a really good and also pretty much traditional Rockabilly style with maybe only some very little Psychobilly influences in it, and that all truly fuckin' good!!! Strong performance on stage, very good songs and music to come from this stage, good interaction with the audience, a damn good drum solo, and a very sympathic and authentic appearance, what you saw was what you got: Pretty fucked up old school Rockabilly!!! They also played pretty long, so that the high priced entry was at the end of the day justified. Good thing!!! I don't know what to tell ya more about it at this place, like I said, good music, good performance, good concert of the ROCKABILLY MAFIA, I mean, good stuff, but it's Rockabilly, I mean, they had done a very good job, but it stays Rockabilly, they weren't building fusion bombs on stage, so I really don't know what to say more about it, just: Good concert!!! Point and fact!!!
Ah, a really nice thing was (and still is, of course) the brilliant STRAY CATS LP I bought this evening, also the current issue of the "PSYCHOMANIA" fanzine and an old issue of the "MENTAL HELL" fanzine. Nice shot!!! After the concert 'Ossi' went shopping, heavy shopping, I tell ya, and then we (read 'Ossi', 'Peino' and me) also terrorized the local McDonald's place, and then somewhen I was at home, adjusted my alarm clock at 6 a.m. (at a sunday... fuck...) and let myself being embraced by the sweet whisper of sleep. Good night!!!

Metal / Metalcore Bash in Goslar Rock City, Saturday the 13th of March 2010

13th of March 2010 - Goslar was calling!!!

Metal / Metalcore Gig with MEINE STUNDE NULL, LORAINE, FOREVER IT SHALL BE and GORILLA MONSOON
It all took place in the Youthcentre B6 in Goslar Rock City, hosted by the guys of the G.M.S. society.
Starting point was eight p.m., fee was 8,00 Euro.
It was not planned to go to the concert, of course I was pretty much excited and curious because of the possible chance of seeing MEINE STUNDE NULL so soon again after they turned out to be a damn good band last saturday at the "KuMo NIGHT" in the city of Wernigerode, but I wasn't sure at all if I should and / or would go to this concert. After spending a beautiful day and evening in the city of Hildeheim with some swimming and a lot of relaxing (sauna rules totally okay!!!) and joy with a perfect female gem I went later that evening spontaneously to the concert to see some bands, hear some music, and meet some friends of mine. So I pushed some musical alarm in the stereo of my car to get in the right mood, and on my way I was.
Arrived at the Youthcentre in Goslar City, said well behaved "Hello!" to a lot of folks- some of them I haven't seen for some months or so-, and greeted the G.M.S. society guys, uhm, and what shall I say, MEINE STUNDE NULL had already finished their set. Okay, a little bit pity, but okay, what shall I say, the priorities were set in a total different way that day. So I decided to do some smalltalk (maybe the standard went suddenly that deep that even cheaptalk would not be a befittingly description of the conversations, haha), get a nice tasting alcohol free wheat beer to drink (of course alcohol free, man, I was driving that night), become a foto model for the regional "Trend!" magazine (yeahr, that's not a problem thing at all for a king like me, haha), became greeted by some of my pupils, and finally met the rest of the crew, yeahr, and the mates of 'Peino', 'Tobilicious' and 'Zottel' were already alcohol fueled and fired up to make it a nice round gig evening. Perfect circumstances, haha!!!
Soon the next- and for us the first- band of the evening was ready to tear down the stage. LORAINE from the city of Seesen loaded, locked and fired their guns, and so they started their set. I've seen them last year in Seesen... and my expectations had been that deep-down-low because of this gig, so I just thought: "Hopefully they will not play that long at all." But damn, did they have become good!!! Bonecrushing Death Metal, very powerful and well-versed, with a lot of fine Mosh parts, some Breakdown parts, and full of harshness, yet also fantastic melodies and a lot of just great refrains to sing a long to. They got some good reactions from the crowd... but it's Goslar and a lot of the Metal guys here... okay, they are just bloody boring, to say it this way, especially as long as they are not totally fueled up with alcohol. I enjoyed the LORAINE gig very much and moved more towards the stage, and if there hadn't been my pupils banging their heads I would have started some violent dancing... but you know, I just couldn't mosh them away, haha. Great gig of LORAINE, very good band. They have also a new (or first?) record out on the market, as well as some shirts (but okay, the usual Metal shirt motif crap), and if you like some harsh, yet meldoic Death Metal between some good old school and some fine new school stuff, then you should really give this guys a try. Nice shot!!!
After LORAINE 'Zottel' and I decided to go to my car and listen to some fine Hooligan / Soccer Thug Rock & Roll music and speaked about some more or less serious topics... and laughed about a lot of dull trash. Moved back, embraced and greeted a former girlfirend of mine, and then moved back to the stage, because it was time for FOREVER IT SHALL BE. First of all, the band was for the Metal crowd here in Goslar much too much modern... and I think too good and too extreme!!! Brilliant band!!! They unleashed a merciless inferno of modern Death Core, somewhere between ALL SHALL PERISH and THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, but also already very stand-alone. At the beginning I had to become familiar to their fast, hard, extreme and goddamn technical style of music, they had tons of breaks and riffs settled together in their songs that it was just amazing, and it all worked out because of some fantastic songwriting. Not just first class musicians, but also first class songwriters. Just great!!! The singer also put on a very good show, as well as the whole performance of this band was just and simply great!!! It was a little bit empty infront of the stage, but okay, like I said, the band simply overcharged the usual Metal guy from Goslar, hm, but, if you ask me, that's totally perfect and speaks a lot for the quality of this band. I was blown away from that musical inferno that nearly pulverized the Youthcentre. Like I said: Great!!! They also have a new record put out, and you should really check these guys out. Just great!!!
After FOREVER IT SHALL BE 'Zottel', 'Peino' and myself went back to my car, talking some funny trash, drinking some stuff, and listened to some good old Redneck Country & Roll stuff (REBEL SON rules okay!!!), and watched 'Zottel' spreading the word by bonding "Eintracht Braunschweig" propaganda. Moved back to the concert room, heard 'Tobilicius' talking something about onanism (damn, "where the hell am I here, and how did I ended here?" I was asking myself, haha), and saw the headliner GORILLA MONSOON. But damn, was this some boring and dul crap!!! First I thought to myself: "Is this some bullshit!!!" Then I was suddenly getting tired, and then I was becoming angry and pissed off by this crap and this totally stub band, and as the "ultra cool" singer (what a wacko!!!) began to propagate smoking weed I really started to feel the need to knock this "jumping jacks" down the stage and put them in the ground. (And that wouldn't have been a problem, I can tell you!!!) And, oh yes, the music really sucked, goddamn dull and boring, somewhere between (boring and bad) DOWN and some Stoner Rock garbage, songs that just refused to end, stupid lyrics, blunt vocals, and everything just sounded the same and total equal, I guess this guys never heared of interesting songwriting or so. Bah, and then they also played that fuckin' long!!! I was getting pissed off and angry more and more!!! Ah, but the Goslar Metal crowd was giving their best in shaking their heads... and I always had known that this just couldn't be healthy at all, haha. During that gig I decided to compensate my frustrated irksomeness with a little shopping walk and I took the new demo CD of MEINE STUNDE NULL with me (great CD)!!!. Puh, somehow this GORILLA MONSOON crap finally came to it's end, and I was never before that happy to see and hear Mister Giese abandon a concert, haha.
After that I collected the crew and we all went to Goslar City to go to some bars, and it was funny as usual, haha, but that's another story, haha!!!

The Crew on the road: Hardcore and Metal D.I.Y. Undergrounds Heavyweight Bash

"KuMo -NIGHT" at the 06. of March 2010 with: ALIVE AT LAST, MEINE STUNDE NULL, 5 POUNDS A HEAD & MORPHYN in Wernigerode / Sachsen - Anhalt / Germoney

Originally it was planned to travel to Magdeburg to visit the 15th (?) anniversary concert of the sympathic german Oi! / Streetpunk / Punkrock / etc. label "Bandworm Records", to enjoy fantastic acts like DISCHARGER, RAZORBLADE and PEKELE, but somehow this plan has gone to the dogs. But it wasn't that bad at all. So I was given the chance to spend a beautiful day with a even more beautiful and in every relation attracting young woman- what I've joyfully done and enjoyed very much, just to tell it you- and at the evening there was another- smaller but also interesting- concert calling us, in the city of Wernigerode. Puh, of the bands that were announced to play I've never heard anything before, only with MEINE STUNDE NULL (you can translate it as "My Hour Zero" or "My Zerohour"), the local heroes, I was a very, very little bit familiar with. But okay, I've decided that this shouldn't be any kind of drawback to go and enjoy this concert.
Temporal very pressed I've came home late at the evening, just found the time to "jump" into some other clothes, concreting my hairstyle, drink some delicate and satiating protein drinks (you know, also 'me, myself and I' sometimes feel the need to take my supper), yeahr, and then the crew was already there and I jumped into the car, where the mates of 'Peino', 'Zottel' and 'Tobilicious' (the best greetings to you guys!!! And sorry, that it took a little bit longer with me this time!!!) were already waiting to bag me in, and yeahr, then we hit the fuckin' road to go to the wild, wild east. By the way, motorways truly rule, haha!!!

We came to the youth center of Wernigerode, and what shall I say, I was pretty much suprised in a very positive way. The location of the building was very good, so that there should not be any kind of handicap with an evening with long live music, and also the building itself looked very positive, and there were no fucked up boozers to be located at the parking lot in front of the youth center. Jolly good!!! Entered the rooms of the youth center, puh, I thought to myself: "Damn, being antifascist is a good, a necessary thing, but this is hyperbolical! Much too much!" Everywhere were banners of the AFA and other stuff hanging around, stickers with crossed and / or smashed swastikas sticked everywhere, everywhere you could see stickers and banners with the slogan "Keeping Hardcore free of Nazis!!!", and so on. Damn, it's all good and fine with me, but maybe a little bit too much, or do you really feel such a huge need to justify yourself and to point out your standpoint even if you're celebrating with your friends and the likes of you / them?!? I don't really think so, but okay, on the other hand I should understand why this is still so damn important to the girls and the boys in the east of germany. Something, that you can easily forget these days in some other regions of germany, but to this I'll come a little bit later. What was also very suprising in a also very positive way were the inner rooms of the youth center, where it was very easy to feel comfortable. There's somebody doing truly a very, very good job, if you ask me!!!

After entering the concert-, lounge-, barroom we decided to hit the bar, but what had my eyes to see: "Sternburg Export"!!! Fuck it!!! Who's drinking this crap?!? Instead of drinking this puke you can also drink the piss of your neighbor!!! Damn!!! So I sticked with some mixering drinks of "Beck's" and Water / H2O, and the plan was also to go to the concert and not boozing around, so at the end of the day: No real problem at all!!! Checked the other guys at the concert, the merchandise sell-points, yeahr, and again: Back to the bar!!! 'Zottel' and 'Tobilicious' started ardently their "Sternburg" safari, 'Peino' and I were checking the flyers of some next up coming concerts, we all were talking already a lot of funny bullshit, and we all were waiting for the first band to start. I'll say it this way: The evening just could not end bad, haha!!!

The first band of the evening should be CONFUSED, but they called it a day, because for some reasons they had to cancel the concert. Okay, after I've never (and still don't) heard anything of this band, what shall I say, I wasn't caring about it that much at all. Instead of CONFUSED the guys of ALIVE AT LAST were playing. Also of this band, coming from somewhere between the german cities of Göttingen and Hannover, I've never herad anything, but I was getting excited about it: Finally live music again!!! It was a while now, since I've enjoyed my last live concert, due to a small and smaller getting amount of time for that stuff. And then ALIVE AT LAST started their set, and damn, had these- very Emo/Screamo stylish- guys been fuckin' good, damn, very, very good stuff!!! Okay, it's a very "up-to-date-sound" that they play, but they do it very, very good!!! Maybe you can describe their music as a mixture of AT WITS END, early FEAR MY THOUGHTS and ALEXIS ON FIRE, and it all already very self-contained. The first one or two songs or so I thought to myself: "Good stuff, hm, but they could be a at least a little bit more independent and stand-alone in putting out their music." But this thought very fast went away, because this young (?) band blowed me away- and not only me-, damn good songs, absorbing songwriting, a charismatic and fantastic singer, cool hymnal fists-in-the-air parts, and so many positive power on stage- they were official exploding up there!!!-, and yes, this guys know how to play, fuckin' brilliant!!! It was a pity that there had been only so little crowd reaction to this band, but that's the curse if you're playing as the first band at a concert, I guess, but already there had been some "dancing" in front of the stage, a lot of "knocking heads" and benevolent applause, and to me it was pretty clear that I had to buy their record, and yes, I bought it!!! You should know me, haha!!! That was a great band, and a brilliant starting point to this concert. After ALIVE AT THE END I went shopping, and then I hit the bar again. 'Peino' discovered the coffee at this evening and 'Zottel' and 'Tobilicious' had been already started hunting on the big games of the girls and women at this evening, or was it just hunting the next rounds of "Sternburg"?!? What ever, but the hunt was on... maybe also the heat, haha!!!

Then it was time that the second band hit the stage, and this should be the local heroes of MEINE STUNDE NULL, and yes, if you've seen the crowd reactions that this guys got then you could easily say that they had been something like the secret headliner. Puh, but the first songs... damn what was this?!? Okay, the soundquality at this evening wasn't the best at all, but this?!? Damn, this was only bashing around on stage on their instruments and the singer sounded like he had put the microphone up his ass into his gut and farting the shit out of him. Okay, sometimes it also sounded like a pig was murdererd on stage. Damn, that was totally not my cup of tea. 'Zottel' and 'Tobilicious' very soon left the rooms to drink and smoke outside, 'Peino' was looking like "What the fuck?" and I just was "Uh...", okay, and then during the first songs of MEINE STUNDE NULL some stupid Nazi-Bonehead faggots with a dirty "Punk's not red!" Nazi Punk idiot in a "Thor Steinar" jacket hit the rooms. That wasn't Skinheads at all!!! I know what I say: After a decade or so of being a Skinhead, before I called it in the last octobre a day due to being fed up with this whole german bullshit scene microcosm crap, but being still dedicated to Oi!, Skinhead, Streetpunk, SKA, Reggae, still knowing what this all had meant and given to me, I just can say: Cheap and not fitting, ugly green bomber jackets, "Thor Steinar" clothes, wearing "the hammer of Thor" patches doesn't make you a Skinhead. But combined with a wet shaved head, R.A.C. Buttons and Shirts, dirty and tracked down combat boots, washed-out carrot pants, and other stuff like that, it is making you a stupid faggot that knows nothing about Skinhead and being a Skinhead, but dresses the way the media is still talking about what a Skinhead is, and it's making you to a dumb-ass bastard that is following some stupid extreme right wing ideologies with strong symols to hind behind and to give the guilt for his / her miserable life away to unguilty people. Fuck you and your life, stupid Nazi faggot piece of shit!!! Stay away from one of the purest and smartest things ever!!! So a bunch of about seven or eight scumbags of this true subhuman scum hit the rooms, and you could easily see that they had been out for seeking trouble. After watching one or two songs of MEINE STUNDE NULL then trouble would fill the concert room. I prepared myself for getting ready to rumble!!! MEINE STUNDE NULL draw a huge following with some sympathic guys that were dedicated to this whole violent dancing style, and damn, they were truly putting on a good show in the crowd. So, some of the Nazi faggots felt the need to go in front of the stage to the violent dancing chummers and give them a beating, ha, but it went exactly the other way: Fists to the heads, feets to the stomach, knees to the chest, knees to the face, fists to the bags, damn, our arayan supermen got the hell of a beating!!! It was great to see, that there were some guys who exactly know how to tread this scumbags right and weren't ashamed to give them what they deserve!!! At a concert of this kind in Goslar or so it would definitely not had been this way!!! And it weren't first of all the AFA "Alerta Antifascista!" guys, it had been the Betadown / Bollo guys who put out the right treatment!!! Good to see!!! The Nazis soon left the building, beaten black and blue, not to be seen again this evening. After this break MEINE STUNDE NULL made their standpoint clearly ("Fuck Fascism!") and the show went on. Somehow during the set of MEINE STUNDE NULL something happend. I looked at 'Peino' and said: "Damn, what's going on now?!? Have this guys really become that much better?!? I can't believe it!!!" And he said: "Yes, I become aware of it, too." The music, the band and also the sound really had become much, much better. MEINE STUNDE NULL turned out to be a fine band, hammering out a harsh and devastating mixture of Hardcore, Death Metal and Grindcore, and as long as the Grindcore elements don't take the lead I just can say that it is a very fine band, already very self-contained and well-versed, that's offering us many variants of extreme music pulled together in their songs. Good stuff!!!

After the MEINE STUNDE NULL set 'Zottel' and 'Tobilicious' came back in- like I've said, they were hunting the big games and smoking and drinking outside the building- and asked us nosily about the Anti - Nazi - Action, and, of course, ordering the next round of good old "Sternburg" (again: How can you sell it?!? And also: How can you drink it?!?), laughing about the evening planning of our arayan supermen (and their two or three damn ugly girlfriends... if you have to fuck something like this, brrr, okay, maybe you have to be such a frustrated and stupid piece of shit... or maybe it could be one reason more to think about one or two things to change in your life...), going out "in style" (and what a style that was), collect some crass and rough beating, going back home, drinking some cheap beer (like "Sternburg", for example, haha), watching T.V. at home, and fall a sleep in your living room. Nice thing, haha!!! 'Peino' given me some info sheat of Nazis and their tactics of internet-presence, we grabbed some flyers and stickers, and then hit the bar another time, frighten away some young kids. Do we look really that sinister?!? I guess so, haha!!! But okay, of course this bunch of kids already should had been at home in their bed at this point of time, so maybe they were just tired and easily to impress, haha!!! Ah, no, we definitley look that sinister, for sure, haha!!!

Then the third band took over the stage. It was time for 5 POUNDS A HEAD. I was pretty excited about this band, the guys looked pretty much like Old School Hardcore and the bandname is just brilliant, if you ask me. And then they started their set and right from the beginning they got me. Pretty much old school Hardcore, all played pretty much in the 1990's New York Hardcore Style way, somewhere between 25 TA LIFE, BIOHAZARD, MADBALL and AGNOSTIC FRONT, blended with some little notes of TERROR. All played in a good pace, without becoming boring and / or sounding to equal, and what can I say: I love this music and this band was damn good!!! Soon after their first song (okay, maybe already after their soundcheck, to be honest with you, haha) it was clear to me, that I had to get their CD. Two singers, all in all very tough shouters, no Metal bullshit in it, cool grooves and some beatdowns, fine breaks, interesting songwriting, yeahr, no need to say more about them: Fuckin' good band!!! They really rocked the house!!! Who not rocked the house was this Metal guy with his Hippie like flower throwing dancing style, that was much too drunk and started a little brawl in the crowd in front of the stage, but he was quickly being put down and out hard. If you pieces of shit can't deal with the music, stay the fuck away from it! If you faggots can't deal with alcohol, just don't drink! If you guys can't deal with yourself, than just go out and do something beneficial ... go dying! Guys like this really suck!!! After the scenery was calmed down again 5 POUNDS A HEAD continue their set, and that was very good to see and hear. They finished their set with a very cool coverversion of the legendary "Punishment" of the great BIOHAZARD. Just great!!! Check this band out!!! Great!!!

'Zottel' and 'Tobilicious' weren't really that succesful on their big game hunt, but their "Sternburg" safari really went very well. They entered the concert room again, asking us about 5 POUNDS A HEAD... damn, if you go to a concert, why not looking at and listening to the playing bands?!? Just an idea... Told them that 5 POUNDS A HEAD just were a great band, then I went shopping again, then walking back to the bar, but decided conclusively not to join 'Zottel' and 'Tobilicious' on their "Sternburg" safari and also and especially not to join them on their big game hunt, haha!!! Talked some more rubbish with 'Peino', heard some funny news about 'Ossi', started to laugh out loud, and then the headliners MORPHYN entered the stage. Okay, it was very late, and the very active day and the very hard last weeks and months really started to demand their tribute from me, so after two or three songs I've decided to take a breathe at the fresh and cold air and left the building for a while. But okay, it wasn't that bad at all, because MORPHYN just weren't my bottle of beer. They were playing Thrash Metal with some very few Death Metal notes in it, pretty much influenced by SLAYER and early 1990's SEPULTURA, not bad, but not really mine anymore. Ah, but they were just great musicians!!! That said, I was out, haha!!! Not mine!!!

After MORPHYN we decided to leave the scene of the crime very quickly, entered the car and hit the road, listening to some very good Punkrock tunes from 59 TIMES THE PAIN and their "Calling The Public" record. Riding fast to Goslar, entering the local McDonald's Check In center. I was trying some Salat and the new Veggieburger, drinking some water... but I think that's not that important to you, right, haha?!? I could tell you also something about someone's not that really delicious eating habits, but okay, forget about it now, could be better, haha!!! After bringing 'Tobilicious' home and watching 'Zottel' hitting the bars and streets in Goslar seeking salvation from some more drinks, I was pretty happy when I was finally at home, creeping in my bed, putting the lights out, and bang, sleep took over me, and that's it!!! Thanks to 'Peino' for being the driver this evening, and yeahr, the crew will be on the road again soon, haha!!!
