This is one hell of a mighty vinyl single release. The FRONTLINE SOLDIERS used to be a great classic American Oi! band from the NYC formed at the beginning of the 2000's year when a lot or most of the big old bands of the 1990's went separate ways. Few bands back then popped up to fill the void and make their own thing, but the FRONTLINE SOLDIERS were one of those few bands. Unfortunately they did not lasted too long and also they never released that much. A few songs or so on a compilation back then, I guess the comp was/is the "STREETS OF AMERICA" or something like this titled one, and then they recorded only some few songs more before they broke up, but this songs weren't released until this one here came out some time around at the end of 2011 by the great (!!!) NYC based record label "UNITED RIOT RECORDS". Okay, if you want to know more about the history of the FRONTLINE SOLDIERS then read for example the history retrospection printed on the inside inlay of this release. The bandmembers were pretty young back then (at least to judge by the bandphotos) and through and through Skinheads. They had close ties to the likes of OXBLOOD, FIRST STRIKE, the TEMPLARS, as well as FED UP! and STEP2FAR. FRONTLINE SOLDIERS played a pretty much Hardcore influenced NYC born and bred style of roughnecked, gladiatorial, militant, hard as nails, sharp hitting, battle scarred, aggressive and brutal and heavy stomping American Oi! music. Dominated by harsh and brutal, angry and heavy played, bonedry and rough'n'tough guitars, a roaring and aggressive bass work, tight and militaristic harsh and precise stomping drums, and hard and angry pissed off aggressive shouted charismatic lead vocals. This is thru and thru true and authentic NYC Oi!, and even it's not changing the formula or something like this (and keep in mind this something like over and decade old already), this is damn fresh, just fucking great and all done in a pretty own way by this way too shortlived roughnecked band, that was/is to be located in a loose way somewhere between the almighty OXBLOOD, FIRST STRIKE, FED UP! and WARZONE, with a very own edge to it. Great and even more!!! On top of it militant, patriotic and battle scarred great American Skinhead lyrics, a truly mighty and just great artwork (''Muna'' rules okay) and a dirty, dry, earthy, yet heavy production sound and the 7'' comes on beautiful camouflage vinyl. A phenomenal release, long, long overdue to be released and we should all thank and hail the mighty "UNITED RIOT RECORDS" for getting the job finally done. Not only one of the best American Oi! releases of 2011, also one of the very best top ten releases of 2011 in general. I highly recommend this brilliant piece of the ''younger'' American Oi! history to everyone with a good music taste out there. Amazing!!! Cheers & Oi! (10 of 10 points)

Whoaa, what a bomb!!! This is awesome D-Beat fueled Crustcore from Finnland with healthy doses of damn aggressive and very noisy interpreted MOTÖRHEAD influences in it and a very brutal approach, a morbid and sinister atmosphere and a dangerous feeling to it roaring down from the scandinavian lands in Europe (exactly from Finnland) to crash down every only somehow possible resistance. A very intense as well as sick Hardcore feeling also comes up due to the outshining and outstanding dry and throaty, brutal and aggressive shouted very charismatic lead vocals. The guitars are massive and furious unleashed forward storming, the D-Beat styled drumming is tight and hard as fuck, the bass saws every remeains of every possible resistance in nice little pieces and the amazing vocals give it all its very own crown. Great!!! Fast pace yet clever and grapping done arrangements and intersting and intese songwriting all the time, and, yes, also good musicians here at work and if you are in love with for example a legendary and awesome band like DISGUST then DISMASTER will be exactly your deal. Own identity, fresh ideas, incredible intensity and mighty bloody brutal songs non stop on this one. If you're into Crustcore you need t have it!!! The artwork of the tape is great (I own the tape version, yes, but there's also these days a free MP3-Download by the band itself released, the link will close this review as usual in such cases), the harsh hammering production sounds fit perfect to the musick an the lyrics are also great shit. The tape is officially sold out but give your best in trying your luck to maybe still find it being still sold somewhere, even today, because maybe you can still find some here and there. With only seven songs in something about just ten minutes it's just by far way too short on running time, that's it. Anyhow: I demand more, point and fact!!! Great!!! Cheers to Finnland!!! Got this 2012 Demo by a friend as a bootleg CD-R without any too many informations about this band, INSTINCT HATE, from Sao Paolo, Brazil. For all what I figured out the artwork seems to be more or less the original/correct one and the tracklist is complete. Don't ask me from where you may can get the original demo release (maybe just write to the band if you want one) and on which format it was released by the band, but if you want it promptly then check the brilliant "CRUST DEMOS" blog at http://crust-demos.blogspot.de/2012/04/instinct-hate-vivendo-o-caos-2012.html from where you can get an official and by the band authorized and provided MP3-Download of this their "VIVENDO O CAOS" Demo of 2012 (for all what I know). This band plays a totally raw and rough, noisy and crusty, mean and nasty, aggressive and furious through and through Old School styled Grindcore inferno mixed up with some infernal Old Tyme Death Metal impressions, some good doses of mad raging Thrash Metal and Crustcore influenced Punk. Sick and twisted mad thrashing guitars, chaotic blasting drums, sawing bass and obscure shouted gruff and grim but also sadly expression- and emotionless lead vocals, there they really need to improve a lot. All the other stuff works pretty good already. INSTINCT HATE aren't changing the formula that was created by TERRORIZER or EXTREME NOISE TERROR and why should they if they do a good job and that's what they have done here. Nothing new or too creative after all, and hell knows nothing fancy for the trendy but who cares, this is a good demo album by a band that showcases some really good potential and so hopefully more than just this six songs in six minutes will follow some soon day. Artwork is great (I like it!), the raw and dirty production sound is pure gold and about the lyrics I have not a single clou to say what ever about because it's simply not really my language. Good Old School Grindcore by a young band that should be interesting and being checked out by you if Grindcore is up on your list. Check them out. Cheers to Brazil!!! (7 of 10 points)

First of all shame on me that I just get it done to get the review of this awesome album now that late up after it was already released by the beginning of the last year. Shame on me!!! I wish I could erase large parts of 2011 at least forever out of my memories... anyhow... this here was and is way up high, very high on the top ten list of my personal favorite albums of 2011. THE TRADITIONALS are long running roughnecked and silverbacked veterans of the U.S. American Oi! scene and they never ever disappointed me. And this counts also for this album by them!!! A new singer on board and what hell of a great mighty lead vocalist!!! Amazing!!! Seems like he's pushing them to new heights and putting a shining polished mighty stomping boot in the Steel Town brewed American Oi! of THE TRADITIONALS. I always loved this band and their music as well as their lyrics/message and their certain style. Sharp played and bone-dry forward pushing heavy and hard sawing yet pretty diverse and multi-layered and more than ''just'' well-versed guitar playing, outstanding charismatic and very forceful and mighty throaty shouted lead vocals, fat and broad sing a long back up chants, harsh pulsating bass playing and damn tight and massive stomping pounding thunderous drumming. They remind me of the outshining THE ANTI-HEROS as well as the BRASSKNUCKLE BOYS, hm, but don't mistake anything here and now, THE TRADITIONALS do their own thing and aren't copying anything or anyone, point and fact. Great songwriting and damn skilled musicians here at work. Two covers we get as well, with the two classics of "VIOLENCE" by THE OPPRESSED and "BORSTAL BRAKOUT" by the SHAM 69. Maybe not very creative at all, but done in a brilliant way by THE TRADITIONALS and so it is all very good and fine with me after all. Great lyrics from political and critical topics to personal themes and Skinhead Way of Life issues on top of it all. Best songs in the bunsh are for me "AT THE BOTTOM", "HOW HAVE YOU BEEN?", "SOLD US DOWN THE RIVER", "C.I.A.", "ADULT IN A YOUTH CULT", "NOT GONNA CHANGE" and "MEMORIES". The artwork is really a great one, the dry and earthy production sound rules and the limited edition used to come with a very cool band logo patch. A outstanding album by a outshining amazing band. Get it if you still don't have it. Awesome and incredible damn great American Oi! that you need to have, period. Cheers & Oi! (10 of 10 points)

Stumbled upon this one thanks to the almighty "CRUST DEMOS" blog on blogspot (check it out at http://crust-demos.blogspot.de/) and got the official download (up on the Bandcamp site of TEETHING for just 0,50U.S.$ as well as on the Bandcamp site of the above first mentioned label and there for free and don't ask me about any sense of it all - links will close this review) recently. Don't have that many informations about this band but they come from Madrid in Spain and are active since the summer of 2011. TEETHING play a Crustcore and D-Beat fueled mixture out of furious raging angry Hardcore Punk like for example G.B.H. and THE EXPLOITED as well as DISCHARGE (the founding fathers of D-Beat'n'Crust, to say it this way) and mercyless slaying and brutal slashing Thrash Metal like stuff from NUCLEAR ASSAULT and OVERKILL to SLAYER as well as some doses of Bay Area Tharsh Metal as well as old schoolish teutonic Thrash Metal hordes like SODOM and DESTRUCTION seem to have had an certain impact on TEETHING and this all is blended with some few Death Metal influenced chaotic blasting grindind madness and some only very few but still healthy doses of sick old tyme Death'n'Black Metal like POSSESSED. Somewhere between all this poles TEETHING are to be located, with their noisy slashing destructive fast paced and aggressive and heavy as fuck played guitars, there great charismatic throaty grunted as well as screamed lead vocal shouting, their incredible heavy buzzing strong distorted bass playing and their stunning massive tight precise drumming. The songwriting isn't changing the formula anyhow but is anyhow anyway a very nice and good done tight and diverse affair and the musicians are without one single doubt pretty skilled guys. The artwork is somehow disgusting, the heavy shredding production sound anyway pure gold and to the lyrics I can't say that much really. And all in all we get five songs in about eleven minutes. A really good record by a young talented and promising band that you should check out. Up the Metal Punx!!! Good stuff!!! That's a brutal and aggressive, a damn extreme musical hammer crushing down from the scandinavian north of mother europe. CRUTCHES are a very heavy and brutal, aggressive and extreme swedish Crustcore band roaring from Malmö and this is for what I know their first proper release, released on Tape as well as a official and costfree MP3-Download on their Bandcamp site so at least go there and get it. This is incredible pissed off and aggresive, angry and mean, brutal and heavy, hard and forceful, noisy and distorted/distoring pure through and through scandinavian Crustcore, a sheer inferno and if SKIT SYSTEM are a part of your list of favorite bands then CRUTCHES should be put up also on this list, even at least currently they can't match with the mentioned titans in the long run but who should bitch around because of this. But don't make no mistakes, because CRUTCHES rule already and also they copy nothing and no one, they just walk a path near to the one of SKIT SYSTEM. Maybe alo DISFEAR (without any too metallic or too MOTÖRHEAD styled stuff in it) can be named here as references. At all we get here five songs in something about eight to nine minutes fueled by massive and sheer brutal hammering guitars, powerful and beefy and bulky very fast crusty D-Beat styled thunderous drums, heavily distorted sawing and shredding bass work, hate filled and pissed off aggressive shouted screaming lead vocals, some few mean back up chants, and great destructive Mosh parts are also worked clever into this otherwise strictly fast raging savage like Crustcore inferno. Great!!! The songwriting is leaving no questions open and to play the guys in CRUTCHES no know for sure as well. To the lyrics I can't say that much, because I simply don't speak the swedish language, and after I don't own the tape but just have the Download (... I know, shame on me...) I only can say more that the cover is very cool and the production is great. A damn good Crustcore release by a band that's really promising a lot. I've stumbled upon this pretty much recently when surfing through the web and checking Bandcamp and such pages for new interesting bands and what I found in and with NEW DEAL  really interested and damn fucking convinced me. They've released this their for what I know first release as a official for free MP3-Download on their Bandcamp site and so just go there and get it if you are a fan of Straight Edge xxx Hardcore the fresh and not retro Old School way of it and also with a nice old schoolish New York Hardcore flavor.  The almighty WARZONE as well as the legendary CARRY ON are way up high on your playlist? Perfect, then don't think twice here because you will love NEW DEAL. Punky and yet damn heavy and harsh sawing but still very cool melodic and catchy guitar playing, bulky drumming, massive buzzing and shredding bass work, charismatic and hard yet still pretty clean and melodic screamed throaty lead vocals, loud'n'proud crew back up shouts, very good pace and structure work as well as songwriting in general, the guys know to play for sure, yehp, that's it, a very cool release and a very good starting point for this new band and I really want more. I hope NEW DEAL stay on track, work on focussed and create more and more a own identity and this band will become very big and damn great. Nice artwork, very good lyrics and a full and proper production sound on top of it. Five songs in eight minutes, so a very short release and also a very short review of it because of this. Damn good stuff, keep an eye on them. Hardcore!!! Fist!!! (8 of 10 points)

What a stupid bandname... KOTZEN (= puking)... thought now some totally dumb German Punk crap would follow... but thanks to the mighty Buddha this was a total wrong impression. Interesting, very skillful and damn clever arranged grapping aggressive, fast paced yet very thoughtful structured and distorting/distorted as well as melodic and slightly Hardcor(e)-ish Punk with very left winged political motivated as well as also pretty personal combersome and profound lyrics. All done by very multi-layered and diverse guitar playing, charismatic pretty clean yet damn angry lead vocals and an sharp to the point played rhythm section, with great suprising and grapping songwriting done by very good musicians, with the already mentioned and also vey good lyrics. Maybe if you can imagine a by far more diverse and also more melodic and much more ''clever'' version of the mighty RAWSIDE with ...BUT ALIVE styled lyrics then you get a pretty good impression of what KOTZEN are all about. The band is releasing their songs and albums only via official downloads, so you get the link to it closing this review and when I now tell ya that the cover included in this download is a pretty cool one, the clear and heavy producion sound is great and that this three track album is damn good shit then I'm also already through with this very review here and I don't really know why... Okay, this one is now up waiting for its review for quite a while now already. The first two split albums of the "LOOKING FOR TROUBLE" split series of "M.F.S. PRODUCTIONS" featured THE LONDON DIEHARDS, the TATTOOED MOTHERFUCKERS, SKINFULL and BAKERS DOZEN and both were/are truly a great listening pleasure, then the third CD featured THE FIRM and THE PRIDE and was to me utter garbage, sorry, even both bands may - be not bad at all they were and are simply totally not my bottle of beer, that's it, so simple it was and still is. So okay, now what's the story with this one here and how will it go and what will it turn out to be at the end of the day?!? A pretty ''strange'' affair somehow... First of all the DISTURBED MOTHERFUCKER and the HAMMERED MOTHERFUCKER are basically both the same, offsprings of the TATTOOED MOTHERFUCKERS and so it's everything but a ''real'' split album and also the style of the DISTURBED MOTHERFUCKER (paying tribute to Leicester City) and the HAMMERED MOTHERFUCKER (paying tribute to West Ham United) is pretty much the same, okay, the DISTURBED MOTHERFUCKERS are by far more heavy while the HAMMERED MOTHERFUCKER is by far more catchy, but both are or play hymnal and anthemic sing a long fueled yet hard rockin' and heavy rollin' ''new schoolish'' U.K. Brickwall Oi! with a nice ROSE TATTOO and MOTÖRHEAD touch on it, and so it's all more of a ''normal'' album of more or less the same band playing under different names and nothing but a split album at all, at least if you ask me. So after all ask yourself about the meaning and sense of this so called ''split'' album. Ah, and it's also more or less nothing but a thru and thru cover album as well, with cover tunes from MOTÖRHEAD over the 4 SKINS to the SEX PISTOLS you will know and find a lot on this very one here. Anyway, to me it's not making that much sense after all, even it's okay at the end of the day and for sure a good party album, even maybe not that very much more. All songs are done in the mentiond style, driven forward by dominant sharp and harsh guitars, mighty angry, pissed off, brutal and aggressiv as well as damn charismatic forceful lead vocals, backed up by a beefy and bulky massive stomping and buzzing rhythm section, all played by very good musicians, and all songs coming with different lyrics with a Hooligan, Football Casual and Football Firm theme to it. Anyhow, an unspectacular but still good album of heavy and rockin' U.K. Brickwall Oi! with a politically not so correct at all Hooligan spirit to it. Nothing necessary or desperately needed or so, some solid to good stuff, for sure, and if the described music is something that could or maybe even does please your gusto then check this CD out and buy it promptly, but even it's agood one I really do hope the next split album of this series will manage to keep up to the standard of the first two albums again. Great artwork (the typical corporate identity of this split album series, you know it) as usual and a good broad and crispy production sound we get as well delivered by/with this very album here. Here's something pretty unknown to me. Got this album by a loose friend of mine and I have never heard of this band before as well as I am everything but familiar with the Black Metal scene in and from Argentina and also I have not a single clou what's the story behind the band name and who the fuck this "EL LIBERTADOR" was (I guess the old grumpy guy on the cover but this isn't bringing me further on) and what's the deal behind it. They sing in their mother tongue and so I am as well pretty much out of it. Can't tell ya that much, also the label is unknown to me and I really lack- to be honest- the motivation to start ''online stalking'' to bring light in this darkness because after all it's also not that important to me. What I know or think to know is that this is a pretty radical right wing affair and the band is everywhere announced as some elitist nationalist Black Metal. Not sure if behind it all there's even more going on, but the two ABSURD covers tell maybe already the complete story behind it, who knows... But anyhow, so much I don't know and also who cares about it, this is a music review and not a debate on politics. So okay, finally on to the music... First, WTF do have national anthems and military marches to do with Metal in general and what with Black metal in particular? Second, WTF does have Gothic and Medival music stuff to do with Metal in general and with Black Metal in particular? Third, WTF do have chorally lead vocals to do with Metal in general and what with Black Metal in particular? I don't know it... maybe nothing?!? Could be... I mean... but who am I to judge... Okay, beside this all the VII BATALLÓN DE LA MUERTE play a mid paced and very atmospheric, majestic and sinister, militaristic and apocalyptic type of Black Metal without the typical raging Frost Storms Black Metal is known for, but instead of this filled with loads of keyboards, samples, synth sounds, horns and wind players, they all are worked into the music and a lot of the songs are more sort of ambient sample tracks (like "ESTANDARTES DEL SOL", "LA DANZA DE LA MUERTE" and "LIEBARTE TUTEMET EX INFERIS", just as examples) or, like already said, military marches and national athems stuff ("INTRODUCCIÓN: HIMNO NACIONAL ARGENTINO" and "MARCHA DE SAN LORENZO"), and also folkish medival tracks like "LA TIERRA BLANCA" we do find on this one, as well as beside this mostly in heavy mid tempo to relaxed up tempo stomping by sawing guitars dominated and by clean ''choral'' lead vocals heavily marked Black Metal anthems even to me it all sounds by far more like Gothic (Metal) influenced ''doomish'' Death Metal, but anyhow. The vocals are strange but if you get used to it you discover a lot of skilled and charismatic potential they hold in store, as well as the sawing and shredding dirty but always damn atmospheric guitars known to convince. To the rhythm section there's just to say that the bass isn't really existing in here and the drums are totally standard Metal stuff and sometimes sound terrible like an computer drum. Then there are the two ABSURD covers namely "WERWOLF" and "ASHES TO ASHES", the band ABSURD is utter garbage in any way, music-wise as well as lyric-wise and far away from anything I would consider Black Metal and that all these NS Metal nutjobs celebrate them as ''messiahs'' says it all about this scenery of intellectual incestuous faggots. The cover versions are done pretty if not very close to the originals and the vocals are more screamed stuff and done in german and english. The songs are crap, also in the versions of the VII BATALLÓN DE LA MUERTE. Anyhow the mentioned ambient like and other weird tracks are dominating this album very much, don't ask me why, it's a pity because the tracks that are (let us call them) ''real'' songs or tracks have some momentum for sure and this momentum is being left for the dead all the time when the other mentioned ''wanna-be'' songs take once again the dominating lead on this album... so don't ask me why and how and about the mentioned domination on this very album here... and also don't ask me what shall be so elitist about this band and album at all... nationalistic (and maybe even far, far more...) for sure... but elitist... WTF?!? A very strange and weird record and band (or maybe sort of a project or so... don't know it... don't care about it), maybe just somehow comparable to the mentioned and covered ABSURD and other stuff like this but for sure better than the already pretty often mentioned nutjobs from Germany. Somehow... a somehow interesting album but don't expect anything like ''real'' Black Metal at all or also ''just'' Metal in general (as the leading foce on this album) after all from it... and just because this is more or less for sure a somehow interesting album don't make the mistake and think this is anything like a good album at the end of the day... Risk an ear if you become curious about it but recommend I can't it to you also letting this whole strange political nationalistic stuff beside... Great artwork and a good production sound we get here from this album as well as the strange other mentioned stuff, and to the lyrics I can't say that much. Don't know from where you maybe can get it... if you want it search for it... Nah, still don't know what to do with and think of it after all... maybe just to throw it away... or maybe keep it as a pretty charismatic obscurity?!? Hm, I think I maybe start to try it with the second option at least for a while... (4 of 10 points)

Oay, this is a ''just'' thru and thru online release and it's still the current one of this german band that I didn't know before reading reviews of this record in several zines. The album comes as a complete MP3-Download album with the complete great artwork and so all on and the link will then close this review here. Okay, what are GLOOMSTER all about?!? Short and simple: Hardcore Punk, point and fact!!! 13 songs in 31 minutes at all of left wing political Hardcore Punk. They play a very angry and bitter, aggressive and pissed off, damn brutal and sheer hard and heavy guitar dominated forceful style of pushing and rampage going slightly metallic (especially the guitar work, listen to the blackened Death metal influenced riffing of for example "KAROSHI" and "STOCK IM ARSCH" or several leads and solos like for example in "VIRUS") Hardcore Punk that is strongly marked by the harsh and aggressive raging sawing and shredding guitars and the brutal and grumpy throaty shouted aggressive, pissed off and mean lead vocals, then the pretty massive and damn tight rhythm section is backing it all up in a very beefy and bulky way, while the clever timed and placed gang back up chants make it even more powerful, while the sometimes used second lead vocal voive is utter garbage, your typical wasted on a drink blatant and dull dumb German Punk ''singing'' stuff, but okay, anyhow, if a band like RAWSIDE is up high on your list you shouldn't think twice but just get this album by GLOOMSTER, and trust me, these guys won't dissapoint you. Personally I miss more diversity and consequence and also something more fresh because even it's all good done and is really a massive bomb aimed at society it's over the complete distance not that grapping at all because it's here and there something that I've listen to already too much before, if you know what I want to say and mean with this words, and they could vary their songwriting at least from time to time here and there a little bit, that wouldn't hurt anybody or anything. But anyhow back then when I was 14 to 17/18 years old this style of music was one of my personal favorites and still today I do appreciate it all quite a bit. The lyrics are left wing stuff, no problems with this even the typical crap especially of german left wing bands is laso here clear to see, sadly enough, all pretty radical and aggressive and damn pissed off and the guys in the band know not only exactly where they stand but they know also all about truth and reality... at least they do think so... and sing against everyone and everything not totally on the same page as them... ''with us or against us'' is the order of the day... choose your side and this side should be best their side and everyone refusing to do s and join the ranks of this elf proclaimed ''political'' games is a fencesitting idiot and dumb unpolitical asshole with no meaning at all and oh so damn wrong and infected by aoh so sick and silly "VIRUS"... pseudo-elitists bastards that think they are the ''left'' avantgarde and totally in the right with verything... anyway with a lot of what they say they aren't at least that wrong at all and the rest as well as the attitude of them you don't need to care that much after all, at least if you ask me. Okay, then the artwork is a great one and the production sound is pretty good but could use truly more power and heavyness at the end of the day. Give it a try if you are interested in it and fans of RAWSIDE styled Hardcore Punk will love this band and album, I'm pretty sure about this somehow. Nothing great or ''special'' or something like this but good stuff for sure. Ah, and we get also with "STAATSGEWALT" a cover of the VERSAUTE(n) STIEFKINDER. At the end of the day, this is a honest and brutal up to date left ''Hate Musick Album'' out of the Hardcore Punk genre coming from Gemany by GLOOMSTER, like it or not, and good for sure, period. Finally it's really about time for a good healthy dose of Oi! Oi! Oi! and/or Skinhead Rock (& Roll) music and to act this part up here now is up to OPEN VIOLENCE, the follow up band of KAMPFZONE (more or less all the former KAMPFZONE members without their former singer who became a oh so tough and proud nationalistic aryan warrior for the benefit of the german nation and the white race... what a clown Punch!!!). I've already reviewed their debut CD EP some months ago and so I will spare me every word more about the history and the members of OPEN VIOLENCE and everyone (no matter if left or right) who thinks this would be a NS/WP Fascist Rock band is a stupid nutjob who really needs a brain- as well as a reality check. So okay, anyhow, back to the topic. Even German Skinhead Rock & Roll isn't normally my stuff in general also back then their debut CD EP convinced me and pleased my gusto and with this their full length debut they did it again and even quite a bit better again already. This is pure and true, hard hitting, sharp sawing and angry rebellious shredding old school german Skinhead Rock & Roll cultivated with a strong and massiv Punkrock flair and born and bred with a strong and authentic, as well as nicely sympathic and inconvient 1980's spirit, but all very fresh and in no way dull retro styled stuff, and that's always good, so thumbs up for that. Sharp guitar playing (sticks really out and is pretty unique, great), pounding haevy bass, hard stomping drums, brutal yet smart lead vocals, full back up chants, fast stomping and always straight ahead, good pace and rhyhm work, skilled musicians and songwriters at work, without a doubt. You like BOOTS & BRACES as well as KAMPFZONE and LAST RIOT, not to forget about ENDSTUFE, STÖRSUFE, old LOIKAEMIE, the HALUNKEN (anyone remembers this great german Oi! band?!?), some old 4 PROMILLE, some very few PÖBEL & GESOCKS, and some german and english 1980's Oi! Oi! Oi! classics then you will also like OPEN VIOLENCE. Nothing fancy and no saying sorry farce bullshit Skinhead Oi! Rock, just pure impact and honest protest straight out of the exploited and bitter and angry working class (or what's left of it over here in Germany). Thumbs up!!! Not for the weak hearted!!! Perfect!!! Maybe nothing special or so, but anyhow something damn good, for sure!!! Great Way of Life and Protest lyrics on top of it, then a good dirty and earthy production sound, and a great old school artwork make it all to a round and complete package, and I think on vinyl as a 12'' LP it's also released. Good stuff, check it out!!! And, btw, I really love "MEIN AUFSTAND", period!!! Cheers & Oi! (8 of 10 points)
