Punk's (still) not fuckin' dead!!! Also not in Italy!!!

PUBBLICO OLTRAGGIO & MESS MESS MESS - "X - SPLIT" ("Artrite Records" / "No Flags Records" / "Anfibio Records"; CD):
A nice Hardcore Punk record that we get to hear here. Hm, okay, maybe we should call it Anarcho Punk, 'cause I think that acts like for example CRASS and / or CONFLICT have had a big influence on both bands (on the lyrics as well as on the music). Both bands are coming from Italy, and they unleash an harsh and fiery inferno of raw, fast, hard, and militant Punk music. If you also like the old THE EXPLOITED releases- like the "Troops Of Tomorrow" and the "Let's Start A War" records-, G.B.H., and stuff like this, then you should also find some stuff here, that will really serve your needs. PUBBLICO OLTRAGGIO play straight forward into your face Anarchist Hardcore Punk, damn aggressive and pissed off. But they also create some really cool refrains that have a huge Sing-A-Long quality, and they also tend to loosen their music up with some very fine Reggae parts. Cool stuff!!! Just listen to "War In A Babylon", "Another Round", and "Rotten Generation". Really a good job, that they have done here!!! Then we have MESS MESS MESS. They combine angry Hardcore Punk with some strong hard Streetpunk influences and a few "A Clockwork Orange" inspirations in it. Just take a listen to "Clockwork Punk", "On The Riverside", and "My Shit Stinks Better". Also: Good job!!! I like what I hear!!! But okay, sometimes this whole Hardcore Punk stuff is getting a little bit boring to me nowadays, but if you are into it then you should really risk an ear here. The lyrics come (mostly) in english, and are also- Suprise! Suprise!- mostly good and also very smart, but okay, I'm NO Anarchist, and that for some good reasons, so there's no need to say more to it at this point. Then we do also get a very nice looking, fucking dark and sinister artwork, and the prodction sound is truly damn good. Ah, and on this CD are twenty-two songs, and I think that's truly a statement. Ah, but it's always the same usual thing, a Split Program should be released on vinyl, not as an CD. But okay, that's another story... (7 of 10 points)
